Ugly, uninspiring stuff that was - even though we were never really losing it.

4 points and Henry hamstring awareness the only injury of note. Not seen on ground after the game... could be nothing or means he was in early treatment and recovery.

Good for Miers to get a win in 150

Jezza kicked 4 - could have been 7 at least.

Scratcher got 3 early then nothing

Was a really flat and spiritless game.

Cant say I follow all the umpiring decisions but they had zero effect on the outcome - we did that to ourselves.

15.19 is pretty wasteful.

WE let the Bombers get a run on and move the ball easily and score from it. Same as GWS and Lions in parts.

Lots to work on before the Swans.

9 day break going forward so time to get back in the right gear.

This was never gonna be a great game and that played out.

Stengle, Bowes, MOC, Close, Baz all things to work on.

Mullin taken off Merrett in the 3rd and he gets 10 touches or so.... back on him on the last.
COS, Zuthrie, Henry before subbed, Atkins all in the best.

onto next week at the SCG

GO CAtters

ps - word is the post game interviews were delayed as CS wanted a meeting with everyone NOW.... some words to be had id suggest.

Nope. What would Brisbane or Adelaide have done to Essendon tonight? They're our competition if we're serious about winning a flag this year.

Do you mean the same Brisbane that had a draw against North and then when they played Essendon at the GABBA had an 18 point win...

Was tonight our best game - no

But folks are going to get disappointed if they expect us to be playing at our peak every week

Right now it's more important that we get our planning for September right than it is that we win every week by 90+

Exactly on point in the comment uninspiring.

This was inept. Utterly below the level that other clubs would accept in the chase for top 8 positions.

Unsure what to do, with finals so close by. Against another finals aspirant we’d be in a lot of trouble. The effort tonight was clearly below par.

Honestly and people can say I’m pot shoting but **** me are Knevitt and Clark just not up to it.

Knevitt in particular is an absolute plodder, just jogs up and down the wing at glacial pace. He is simply too slow to be so soft as well.

Probably wouldn’t overreact to some of the negative aspects of the performance.

Mannagh was excellent, Miers brilliant at times. Smith ran them into the ground again.

Stewart was fantastic, attack on the ball sensational.

Cameron’s marking is better than it has been for a long time. That is good news going into September.

Both those games were in May.

I mean the Brisbane that beat Collingwood by 4-5 goals last week, and the Adelaide that has beaten every team they've come up against since their bye.

Gees we would of been in trouble if it wasnt for tom stewart. Dominated intercepts on the last line of defence too often.
Saw some in game comments he was poor. Baffling really.
Was excellent.

Lots of chicken little's out and about tonight.
Cats effort was off, 5 day break take the W and move on.

WEKILTDEMFARKING !!!
We did 😻

Except, we should have hung - only keeping them within a breath of death, slowly + cruelly drawn + dismembered them! Hung their heads upon pikes + sold their guernseys in lots!

Not that I’m bitter 😾

We have been up for a few weeks and due for one of these games. When you still win them by 7 goals and never really challenged at any point then you know we are going ok.

I don't wish death on the guy sitting behind me but some sort of accident that permanently removes his ability to talk, 2ould be ****ing great.

The football wasn't great but to listen to the constant loud and obnoxious verbal diarrhea from that **** wit, drained any enjoyment I could possibly get out of tonight.

Unfortunately it was painfully obvious that any attempt to tell him to shut the **** up would be seen as a challenge to ramp ip just how obnoxious he could be

People forget the 2007-2011 teams had many wins of only a couple of goals against bottom eight sides. Cant be up every week. No injuries. 7 goal win off 5 day break while resting a few players. Stewarts form returning after the worst front half of a season of his career had us worried his best was behind him. Neale keeps showing signs (although pity he didnt go on with it). Miers kicking on in his midfield role. Blicavs testing a surprise centre half foward role with some success. Take it and move on.

And no injuries- really hope Jack Henry is ok.

COS makes some mistakes but he's already miles better in the air than our main key defender. That's an indictment upon SDK's development.
Think back 3 years ago- he will get back there.
