Going down to SS to watch this game, im not sure if i am looking forward to it yet..

With Chapman and Enright out, does this mean Thurley will get a run as a smallish forward??

And does anyone know whereabouts McCarthey is after his injury?? Just curious.

I am also making the long trip down the highway to this game, as a dees supporter it could be a long day.

BUT

mark my words Beamer will kick the winning goal.

Thurley should play. If there's 2 forced changes I'd like to see Prismall get a game instead of someone like James Rahilly. We know Rahilly isn't going to be on the list next season, and a guy like Prismall could give the Cats a bit of a spark like Brent Moloney did in his 1st game against Port Adeliade.

That said I like our chances too this week. If Neitz doesn't play all the better. Scarlett could go on Robbo possibly, Egan for Holland, Hunt on Yze and probably Sanderson on Davey (which worries me immensely). Would love to have David Johnson back in the team right now.

Depending on how many Demon midfielders come back, the likes of Corey, Ling and Bartel need to dominate. And James Kelly needs to start winning some possesions, along with Ablett who's gonna get heavily tagged by Matty Whelan.

Now isn't the time to be playing kids. Play the 22 guys who will win the game that week. Couldn't care less whether or not they were in future plans; if they're going to be our best bet on beating the team on hand, then play them.

For some reason, I'm sort of confident about winning this week.

But Geelong will probably get up. I had money on Adelaide by +39.5 on Saturday, might go for Geelong by under 39.5 this week.

the game down at SS last year was a ripper, hopefully its of a similar quality yet different result :)

actually screw that, i wanna thrash em, we need the percentage

i'd tip us if it was at the G but not sure about down at Geelong.

Melbourne should be welcoming back everyone except Bruce Rivers Sylvia and possibly Green

Kent seems to always do well vs the dees, he should get fergeson if he aint suspended. he has prooved to be our best tall defender, better then nicho and carroll

Carroll or nicho will den get ottens, the remainder gets Playfair

whats it like for Geelong on the injury front? who are u expecting to be missing

I think whoever loses this one won't be in the finals.

Nicho should take Ottens, and Carroll on Playfair. If Ferguson gets beaten on the lead by Kingsley we can give Wheatley a go on him. I'll be heading down with cats2rise to this one, should be a good game. Hopefully Flash can play the way he did last time we played the Cats and Beamer can have a real go against his old side. (I'm sure he'll get a nice reception from the natives ;) )

yep preti confident we can win this one, even though i will not be getting to damn cocky, just incase...if we lost this one though, i dont think i'll b able 2 handle it, its quiet depressing watching a game ur expecting 2 win and being let down time and time again, injuries are only getting worse...but hey i still rekon we can do this..they all looked shattered last week so hopefuli they can find some serious motivation, get out there and win by atleast 30pts..

Probably quicker to list who is fit, rather than who isn't. :(

Our current injuries

King
Harley
Mooney
D Johnson
Chambers
Chapman (The only one who might be a chance to play, if his injury improves)
Wojcinski
Hunt
Enright
Gardiner
McCarthy
Mackie
Callan
Slade

Looks like we'll have about 24-26 to pick from again.

Media have been reporting some sort of leg injury (possibly corkie). Apparently highly doubtful, dependant on how it responds to treatment.

Geelong by 40+ pts

KK and Ottens to kick a bag, with Ablett or Liz to chip in for 2 or 3.
H to return to form, just to peeve Jack. ;)
Frank to come in and play CHB.
Kelly will finally pull his finger out and get B.O.G
Mr Bean will run rings around around White.
Kingsley always kicks bags against us. If Bizzell gets him again, Daniher is officially an idiot.

This game could get ugly, but I'm going to watch Sandringham vs. Geelong. Will be of a higher quality I'm guessing.

Well, at least we have a team to pick. I'm starting to worry that we'll have less than a full time fielded by the time round 22 rolls around.

Not at all confident this week either. Melbourne appear to be in dire straits but I can't say we're doing a whole lot better. Could come down to who plays worse on the day! (plus a healthy dose of home ground advantage, hopefully)

This game is shaping up to be the first nil all draw in the history of the VFL/AFL. Melbourne will rush a behind at the 25min mark of the last quarter to give us a thrilling one point win and cement our spot in the top 8. :D

^ Hunt? What's up with him?
Just to clarify.

This taken from a post from 'Sue' on Cats Claw, words are those of Dr. Geoff Allen:

Josh Hunt
The durable defender suffered a corked right thigh late in the game. Although Hunt had the muscle iced heavily in the rooms after the loss, he did not appear to be overly hampered by the injury. He will be tested this week but should be available to play on Saturday.
