Thanks for your good grace in victory. Makes me wish I wouldn't get so riled up with Cats supporters rubbing our faces in it.Always good supporters out there from all clubs.
Before I started on Big Footy, I literally didn't hate any other teams.

Love watching Geelong and are the only other team I want to win a flag after the crows!!
There are some really humble Geelong fans out there it must be said.
I was apologising to a very reasonable person. When I said every club has good supporters it was pretty obvious I wasn't speaking about you.
I believe strongly in 'winners are grinners' and don't have any tears over our loss last night - it was the best we have looked all year and the only time I've seen any real fire in our bellies. You must of been a bit surprised, going in thinking you'd win convincingly?

Yep I did think we would win convincingly and whilst we did win pretty well, I did expect to win by more, but good for you. It was a great game and both teams played well and yep Freo looked the best they had for awhile so maybe you are on the way back to top form in which case you will be hard to beat. I can see you are annoyed with me but my point was -whilst I think better late than never- you posted quite a lot of 'graceless' comments and it would have been better had you not done so ( and better not to infer that it was the fault of Geelong supporters for stirring you up). But good for you to acknowledge a mistake! And as you have noted, we can all be a bit flawed on BF. I make plenty of poorly judged comments too but on the whole consider myself to be pretty reasonable. (in comparison)

Geelong seem to be more respected than hated from what I've seen. I hate the fact that they've beaten us so many times in recent years but do not classify them as the 'scum of the earth' or anything ....... a certain red and white team however ........
No worries. It's all in fun. Any of the 'graceless' comments I made were in fact just replies to comments made about the Fremantle FC by Geelong posters (all bar my initial post which didn't mention Geelong). I was just giving some banter back. I'm certainly no Sydney fan, but I'm more angry with the AFL than Sydney themselves. They took the concessions like any club would. They don't seem a particularly dirty or unfair side. I think the last 10 years they've been a side of battlers getting the best out of themselves. Only this year do they seem loaded up with stars.
The AFL changed the veterans list to keep Geelong from losing players. Its not competition manipulation to the COLA extent, but it's still a leg up from the commission.
About around round 20 every year umpires go mad a pay imaginary free kicks even across all games...
Why? Simple, because they get assed for finals over the last 4 weeks of the home and away season. Relative to a home and away games they get paid huge money for finals. The problem is that that when they do a review they get scored down harder for missing afree than paying one that is foggy touch wood. It was that clown Giechen who started this crap. 1st round of finals will be over umpired a bit but after that the assessment stops and the umps can go back to instinct. It's all about the money....... I recon we would do the same so it's not the umpires fault it's the idiots running the department.
I honestly beleive that umpires should spend less time analysing decisions because all it does is create inconsistency. Just concertante on positioning and reading the play. Even better umpires should be made to play some footy so they understand what players do to suck umps in.

It's not the actual stats on frees that are paid, it's just, like, the feel of it, man.
Geelong were hardly convincing last night. but no less convincing then Hawthorn in the prelim last year.

Yep, in general we don't get lots more frees than opposition. Perhaps the Freo tactics contributed to the free kick count the other night?
