Guys

In season 1992, Geelong racked up some huge scores, one such game was the round 8 game v Adelaide at Kardinia Park, where they won 32.18.210 to 12.15.87.

I have been trying to locate a copy of this game for ages, name a game/sports delivered do not have this available to purchase.

Would anyone here have this game in full at all? It was a televised game at the time.

cheers

Our resident GFC game legend Bobby_ should be able to shed some light.

If he can't not many can…

It was definitely televised. With commentary.

It was on TV, IIRC it was on a Saturday during the day which means it got the standard ch7 treatment of the time - ie. highlights and a portion of the match replayed that night. But the whole match wasn't shown. I may have it on tape somewhere but I wouldn't know where.

i already have the saturday night tv replay of it, the whole game was available at one time from name a game, but its no longer available from them now.

For years that was how it worked - Kardinia Park = guaranteed Geelong win. Football Park = guaranteed Adelaide win. Think both our records stretched to 10 - zip or even further for our respective venues over this period.

God that was an absolute graveyard that place - Westlakes - went about 3-4 times ( including the 1990 preseason practise match against Port - which basically spun the wheels to get SA teams into the national comp)

There were a few consistent things which allways happened their - it was allways windy - nor- westerly blowing - and Geelong got flogged !!

We beat Port easily in the game you mentioned, didn't we? Thought we won that one by about 10 goals.

We did - i can remember at quarter time ( bear in mind it was a stinking hot day ) after all officials had left the ground and all players were in their positions to start the 2nd qtr - Malcolm Blight was with Ablett giving him some last minute instructions ( as if Ablett would be listening to him - a bloody practise match on a hot day !! )

Aah - but Malcolm was after a bit of crowd reaction - and he certainly got it - when he eventually left the field .
