Richmond also beat Hawthorn in 2008 and 2012. The funny thing is, whenever Richmond beat Hawthorn during the premiership years the Hawks would go on a long winning streak.

Hawthorn 2012-15 saw them play in four grand finals in a row.
That period was Hawthorn at their peak.
Richmond had a 3-1 record against Hawthorn in 2012-15.

Our premiership sides from 2017/19 would wipe the floor with any of Hawthorn's 2012-15 sides.

Richmond flog trying to hijack the thread about Geelong vs Hawthorn.

Find your own rival.

This thread a joke? Strange comparison

Agreed. Most overrated 1-peaters of all time, versus the most underrated 3-peaters of all time. Hawks by 12 goals, but only if we took the foot off the pedal in the last half once we had it won, like we did in 2014 and 2015 GFs. Keep the foot down the entire game and we'd make 2007's Port GF performance look like an honourable loss.

You played 3 interstate sides ffs. Two of them being terrible grand final sides. Get off your high horse.

You know this is a comparison using Geelong 2007.... you want to bring weak interstate sides in to the convo?

Regardless, it's a stupid argument anyway. They were teams that made GFs.

Could use Hodge as the designat-

Oh wait

Yes, not father and son, so not invited.

In any case, getting fined $450 for blowing 0.068 and getting fined $1500 for enticing a vulnerable young woman to your hotel room and essentially killing her with Heroin doesn't really put Hodge in the same partying ballpark, so definitely not invited.

As opposed to clicking a thumbs up button on someone’s Instagram post which you also seemed to think as up there as far as unlawful acts go

I don't think I said anything about how GAJ's acts related to anyone else's acts. I think it was you who started playing the comparison card (and rather poorly at that).

Sorry folks, I assumed everyone had read this

Thanks, a fun read. Is "deep underground German restaurant" code for something? Sounds like somewhere Cartman's mum would work.

I like how they attribute the 2006 Hawthorn smashing they received as the catalyst to the awakening that created their 3 flags. Seems they were a sleepy bunch that needed multiple Hawthorn wake-up calls given their 2006, 2007 and 2008 losses to us. I guess some folks are just slow learners. Is there really any doubt what the ruthless 2014 Hawthorn outfit would have down to his sleepy (hollow) mob?

So when someone mentioned Hodge I don’t think there’s much wrong with it at all

Hawthorn's 2013-15 "dynasty" is like the Lleyton Hewitt "dynasty". He just happened to be up and about at the time of that in between period when Pete Sampras was fading and before Roger Federer was ready to go.
Garbage analogy because no one considers the time Hewitt was number 1 as a dynasty.

We were a top team for the better part of 10 years, won 4 flags in that time and won 3 in a row. That is not luck.

‘in that scenario, when does ‘roger Federer’ arrive?
