I understand your confusion (breathing all the fumes living next to a petrochemical refinery will muddle you a bit im sure). The result we all wanted.
But it's a shame that week 1 in the finals doesn't matter, apparently

Its not the first week of the finals that matters.
Its the last week.

No but you can lose the first week and still stay in the game (presuming you manage to beat Melbourne that is)Oh cool so we can lose the first three weeks as long as we win the last, cool story
The only one packing their dacks is you.Best possible result for us. If we win #whenitmatters, if we lose it isn't a knockout final so it doesn't.
Handbaggers will be absolutely packing their dacks at facing us under the woeful finals leadership of Selwood & clueless buffoonery of Chris Scott.
Bwhahahahahaha I just saw you put those VFA flags in your sig ahahahahahaThe only one packing their dacks is you.
They've only been there for over a year.Bwhahahahahaha I just saw you put those VFA flags in your sig ahahahahaha
The only thing I fear is the safety of my fellow Hawk supporters in a fortnight when you leave the MCG angry, fidgeting the knife in your pocket. They've only been there for over a year.
I like to embrace the entire history of my club unlike some. It wasn't so long ago that your mob had more spoons than it did flags.
Regardless, deflecting your fear is duly noted.
Well you won't be able to re enact 1989 cos you don't have any forwards to kick a big score (119%)Hopefully Hawks win, Giants and Geelong lose. Sydney vs Geelong, Hawthorn vs Adelaide first round final. That way if both Hawks and Geelong can manage to win first week of the finals it will lead to a better chance of a 1989 or 2008 GF re-enactment. Not fussed which style the Hawks decide to re-enact.
Geelong don't have a selfish campaigner druggy faux God lover capable of kicking a bag of goals either.Well you won't be able to re enact 1989 cos you don't have any forwards to kick a big score (119%)
Come on mate don't down play it you guys are in it up to your eye balls anyone could topple anyoneGeelong don't have a selfish campaigner druggy faux God lover capable of kicking a bag of goals either.
Hawks are on the decline, these things happen in a competition with extensive equalisation methods and ageing stars. I don't expect Hawthorn to win this year, however if they could make it to the Grand final I hope it is Geelong they meet.
Schoenmakers comes into the side, mostly average and at best perhaps 2 goals a game but having him as a target if played forward should allow for some more ground ball for the smalls and relieve a bit of defensive pressure on Gunston.
Also lulz at schoenmakers in the same post as the great manGeelong don't have a selfish campaigner druggy faux God lover capable of kicking a bag of goals either.

I'm not downplaying it at all, I may joke about the Hawks winning it all but percentage is a good guide for a teams performance. Hawks 2016 would lose by a minimum 6+ goals everyday of the week to Hawthorn of 2012-2015. Not saying it is not possible but for it to happen the contested ball would need to improve, a few C graders would need to lift and numerous other players down on 2015 form would need to lift.Come on mate don't down play it you guys are in it up to your eye balls anyone could topple anyone
Take Roughead, Hale, Lake, Suckling & Ceglar out of last year's squad, throw in a half-fit Schoenmakers and we're doing damn well to be in contention.I'm not downplaying it at all, I may joke about the Hawks winning it all but percentage is a good guide for a teams performance. The biggest thing in their favour is that every team this season is seriously flawed, with no 1 or 2 teams been exceptional. Adelaide and the COLA cheats perhaps above the rest but Adelaide just threw away a home final.
That still doesn't change the fact that you're shitting bricks at the prospect of not only facing Geelong in the first final but losing to them too, try as you might to keep deflecting the topic. The only thing I fear is the safety of my fellow Hawk supporters in a fortnight when you leave the MCG angry, fidgeting the knife in your pocket.

LOL so much for all your crap about Gutflop being better than RIOLI (trigger alert) it turns out the Handbaggers may put the fat lazy sod on the chopping block at the end of the year!![]()

Son of God / Nakia threatened to stab random Hawthorn supporters in a thread immediately after Geelong lost the 2013 prelim. I referenced it when campaigning to win him last year's AWOTY award - successfully, for which he still hasn't forgiven me.3 things.
1. I am not afraid at all. Believe me or not ... We're too good a team and too well coached to lose against you unless you have a freaky Geelong blinder ... If you do you deserve to win ...
2. I've never actually known what the stabby reference is but now you've changed your name I need to know ...
3. I was stabbed in the shoulder and have a nice big scar from a club called the Milk Bar back in the day... Was stabbed for no reason but then had assault charges dropped against me for the aftermath ... I've enjoyed our PM's but don't tell me you stabbed someone because I'd prefer a lie.
