No. Going to shit when 3 goals up in the third cost us the game. Probably were 1 goal away from causing Geelong to start wondering. Then in the last quarter the forward entries were deplorable. Pretty good effort though for a $2.3 outsider. Think we'll win this week and have a crack at GWS.
I sincerely hope you do win as I've said before.

Hawkins run down of Frawley was the turning point and I said it at the game. We lifted from there and hit the front 3 minutes later.

Yeah - that was pathetic. 3 on 1 from memory too.

Lol, a deserved free kick. :$
We know you have an uncanny ability to make things up and believe yourself however rules are rules. Contact in the back in a marking contest with arms, hands, elbows etc is a free kick. Does not matter how light it was, the contact was there. Text book free kick.

Don't recall that one. Notwithstanding, the umpires are very loose on incorrect disposal these days. I saw Geelong players getting pulled off kicks which had no boot connect and it was called play on. Been like that for a few years now. Only two incidents stick out to me - the rushed behind and the Selwood off the ball/50 metre penalty. Thought it was umpired ok otherwise. We can go through HTB/incorrect disposal/off the ball stuff until the cows come home, though neither team got an undeserved run.
The one that annoyed me on the night was Blicavs throwing Lewis out of the marking contest which allowed Caddy to mark in the square

18:30 to go in the last Bartel was shoved in the back in the marking contest 45 out from goal. Not payed.

Mitchell throws the ball to Fitzpatrick a minute later that leads to a shot at goal to Breust.

They are heaps of those incidents in every game for both sides. Not trying to blame them for a loss, that was just the one that annoyed me on the night.

Throws happened on both sides, i think from watching live there were a couple of throws in the leadup to the last Geelong goal but that happens. Smith kicks the goal none of that matters

Nope those were taps.

And Smith was lucky to get the shot... Was reliant on another Jordan Lewis shank kick that happened to fall into the arms of Burgoyne.

If his kick had of gone where it was intended it would have fell into the waiting arms of a Geelong player thus avoiding Smith his arrogant embarrassment.

Not going to go back and watch. Just what i thought i saw with my biased eyes.

Umpiring had 0 impact on the result.

"Contact between Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge and the Geelong Cats’ Joel Selwood from the end of the third quarter was assessed. The impact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken."

Lol. What a surprise.

"Contact between Hawthorn’s Jordan Lewis and the Geelong Cats’ Joel Selwood from the first quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. Lewis disposed of the ball when he was pulled to the ground by his opponent Selwood. As Lewis was getting up, he made contact with Selwood to the chest area. It was the view of the panel the impact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken."

What a surprise that Joel Selwood hitting Hodge from behind is not even mentioned

Tom Ruggles cops $1000 for striking C.Rioli.
Jordan Lewis cleared of contact with J.Selwood.
Luke Hodge cleared of contact with J.Selwood.

Hahahahaha.

You can't write this stuff.

Yet if that play unfolded the other way with a Geelong player missing out on a deserved free kick and Hawthorn ended up winning the game you would have cried conspiracy and quit like the front runner you are.

You know they defended Bartel's dive (which actually got a free kick). It's like banging your head against a brick wall.

Not me, I said he should have been suspended. Just like Thomas and just like Rioli.

It's a blight on the game and the only way to fix it is to start suspending players for it.

Either that or pay a free kick the other way.

I'd prefer a suspension... Too many rules and interpretations are already making it too hard to officiate.
