Geelong and Hawthorn record monumentally embarrassing 170000 page shitfight thread - Part 3

Geelong Supporters - are they Victoria's dirty little secret?

  • Yes, thank goodness they're mostly confined to a single town.

  • Yes, out of sight & out of mind. We shun them and rightly so.

  • No, every state has a criminal underclass.

  • No, they're people too... poorly bred perhaps but that's not their fault.

Pissweak. No fines, no suspensions, no nothing. Just some finger pointing from Dangerfield reminding the fans that Joel Selwood is better than everyone.

That was appalling... Watching Clangers laugh off the suggestion of suspension ... really shit form

Then again, we are talking about GFC ... clear history of not acting and sweeping it all under the carpet

Luke Hodge misses a training session and the club bans him for a week :thumbsu:
http://www.hawthornfc.com.au/news/2017-03-10/hawthorn-football-club-statement

Yet Duckwood drives like a crazed lunatic and doesn't even have the decency to have a presser
Doesn't get suspended for being pissed and driving, yet cops 1 week cause the fat prick couldn't roll out of bed. So in the Hawks eyes drink driving is better than missing a session. Culture.

Hodgey had probably been on the piss all night and was too hungover to drive. Maybe he has learnt his lesson this time.

Poor Hodgey will be sitting on the sidelines Round 1 while All Australian skipper Joel Selwood will be lining up next to his teammates. No wonder the playing group stripped him of the leadership, not good enough.

Clarko's gonna blow a fuse when he gets back to the country and realises what his playing group has done. Bombers are going to have a field day against the Hodge-less Hawks.

The off-season and now this, truly a club in shambles. :drunk::drunk::drunk::thumbsu:

Roughy laying down the law :thumbsu: This will show the young fellas what the expectations are. Culture building stuff.

Contrast this with the culture at Geelong, where it's perfectly acceptable and even encouraged to exceed the speedlimit, be sanctioned by the law and cost the club potentually millions in sponsorship revenue :drunk: I fully expect to see half of Geelong's list in prision by season's end.

Superb discipline shown by the Hawthorn leadership group, Geelong's equivalent can only look on and wish they had the stones to act likewise.

Hawthorn's culture has ALWAYS made Geelong's look like shit. In a changing sport it has been one of the few constants throughout the decades.

Nice deflection. Doesn't change the fact Hodge isn't playing rnd 1.
Wouldn't want that fact changed. Hodge's ban is a great example of Hawthorn's superior culture and adherence to team discipline. Whereas Joel Selwood on the other hand loses his license and doesn't even miss a JLT game. Great stuff, so proud of our club.

LOL at you celebrating your ex Captain's lack of discipline.

I'm celebrating the response to it. Now everyone's on notice, and can see that the standards apply to everyone, even four time premiership players and 3 time premiership captains. As opposed to Geelong who either don't care about standards at all, or are favouring Selwood because their depth is non-existent.

Talk about double standards. Hodge didnt get a suspension for drunk driving. But so quick to say its bad for the cats not to suspend their captain but its ok for hawthorn. You seriously believe your players shit dont stink. Glug glug glug that goo.

Geelong whacked Motlop for a game for breaking team rules so we do in fact have very similar standards when it comes to breaking team rules.

at least Hodge was punished in some way. Selwood got off with a pat on the bum from Dangerfield and a wristy from uncle Frank.
