3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

What this photo really captures is the general stupidity of Geelong supporters. Here we are at a Red light and because you can't get through the intersection you feel he has cut you off.
Lucky the Hawks supporter is more intelligent than you and has prevented you from a potential accident.

Red light at the top.

While this was an amusing post, I should have mentioned that it happened well before the lights. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

"The Cats have made it clear they were not happy about having to contribute $300,000 in 2015 despite recording a $3.3m loss, while financially strong clubs such as Collingwood, Hawthorn and West Coast had their contribution capped at $500,000."

Yep ... Shit-truck, broke club pouring money in to a stadium they don't even own!!! ... Smart business move that one huh!!! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
... On and off the field ... We'll always have the wood on your club ... it will never end

PS - Come at me with another one of your bullshit, cryptic responses .. You seem pretty good with your "selective reading" .... Because as we both know, I can shred any argument you have ;)

HAWTHORN president Andrew Newbold has resigned, effectively immediately and has handed the reins of the club to Richard Garvey.
So the president of the Hawfs has jumped off the sinking ship. Doesn't that just sum up the entire support base perfectly? Knows the team is too old to be competitive this year, hears about Roughie doing a knee and just throws in the towel and moves on to the next thing. Wonder which team Sooky Newbold will be supporting this year? :$:$:$

Was in the middle of creating a thread about this, probably a good idea I didn't... You are spot on though. "Effective Immediately" obviously equates to something very bad happening behind closed doors.

This is the beginning of the end for the Hawfs.

I think you've got to have a little compassion for the Hawforn fans though. I mean, when a team has a fairweather president such as Newbold who couldn't even see out his tenure because things were going to get a little tough for his team, you can see how that culture of bandwagoning really is ingrained into the fabric of the Hawthorn Football Club, and the fans are basically forced to swallow that up. This is the Hawthorn of old, 'when the going gets tough, we vote ourselves out of existence'.

GONE COLD: Hawf Supporters.

Probably on their own board discussing which team to start supporting next season.

lol, ever thought the pussys financial loss was to construction of new training and admin facilities & still adjusting finances to not playing in finals last season.

lets go over the hand out kings whorthorns finances
4 flags in 8 years, still needing to sell home games to tassie, have the current dodgy tassie sponsorship deal extended the one that Jeff set up with his political connections, receive extra money from the AFL, on top of renting the waverley facility of the AFL for $1 a season even have the AFL and sponsor Medivac pay for the renovations of the place while have one of the highest pokie and gaming revenue returns out of all of the AFL clubs.

the whorks are the ultimate welfare hand out kings:thumbsu:
so once the grand final appearances stop where will those poor whorks get their next lot of hand outs from

It's called a job, No one is worried about what you and your collective flogs have to say.
We all know how jealous of the Hawks you all are.
Hawks love these challenges, and they have had them every season. Just makes the 3Peat greater than any other 3peat before it.
Geelong should try having a dynasty for once In all your lives, it's great.

Ahhhh ... an Essendon fan chiming in ... Welcome my friend, I hope all is well at Bomber land!! :drunk:

Whilst we are on the topic of financial management ... I have but one question for you.

When (not if) the tidal wave of law suits starts against your shit-stain of a club for their PED / drug regime, who will be footing the bill for all the payouts???
(Currently tipped to exceed $35,000,000)

Despite what Sir James would have you believe, Insurance Contracts are null & void once you've been proven to be involved in negligent / illegal activities.
(See CAS and Work cover judgements - GUILTY AS CHARGED)

That then leaves the EFC!!! .... BUT ... hold on ... aren't you guys already broke? ... $35m would shut the doors on the place permanently.
(Music to every Hawks fans ears)

That then leaves the AFL to clean up your mess ... and guess who's the AFL's cash cows??? .... West Coast, Collingwood and HAWTHORN

The door is on the left mate ... don't let it hit you on the way out ;)

PS - Tell your drug cheat captain ... we want our medal back

Certainly will be great when Mitchell gets his medal back. Think they should have stripped Jab Watcsum immediately after been found to be a drug cheat.
