3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

By that you infer fans shouldn't bother to post on Bay13 unless their team is
Some really good signs from the kids. Clarko says we're rebuilding this year and as the greatest coach in football history I'm inclined to agree with him. We'll give it a huge shake at the business end of the year regardless and knowing Clarko he'll conduct a mini rebuild and we'll end up pinching a flag from GWS in a couple of years, by which time the Handbaggers will entrenched in the bottom half of the ladder. :)
Cool story.

Srs the question but how are the Hawks going to rebuild?

At the end of this year Micthell Hodge and Burgers will be gone. That leaves a midfield of Lewis Hill Harting Shield Smith Langford (lol). There are no decent FAs so the Hawks are going to have to give up 2 first rounders to get a young gun mid. Even that won't be enough to stop them bottoming out Free style.

Looks like it isn't only the Hawthorn posters around who are obsessed.

I agree we will dip over the next few years, but are unlikely to drop low as 10th. If only we could enjoy the equivalent of Geelong's charmed 2016 injury run we'd probably be sitting at 8-1 (the loss being to GWS) which wouldn't be bad for a rebuilding side coming off a threepeat!

No chance they will bottom out Freo style while they still have Clarkson. The end of the era is highly likely to come soon and the club put their eggs in the basket playing senior players and limiting opportunity to young players. It paid off 10 fold with 4 consecutive Grandfinal appearances and a 3 peat. The core senior group bagged 4 with the 2008 GF.
Some people are unfortunate enough to follow teams and have never witnessed premiership success, do you really think Hawks dipping and missing some final series will bother the most success spoilt fans in the competition?
Hawks youth at this stage is inexperienced, fair judgment cannot be made yet. Sicily is showing good signs, Obrien too looked good last night amongst others.
Not that bad an effort considering the news on Roughhead. Only a half dozen of the players had a decent game and it was still a contest down to the last 5 minutes. Still in the race this year.

fear us
Hawks showing a lot of experience by just doing enough at the moment, not showing their hand and will no doubt crank up the dial about round 16 to start peeking for September.

You know it's true handbaggers. I predict we will be at 620 pages of your jelly by then.

The hawforn demise continues

Even their bandwagon supporters are jumping off in the tough times

So long hodgepodge
A shining example of why they will fall in a huge hole as soon they stop winning flags. Seriously they are the worst type of supporter. If they finish 6th, lose the first final this year you watch 20,000 fall straight off the membership numbers next year.

How quiet will this thread get after we pump Collingwood and cement a top 2 spot? A Hawthorn loss and a Geelong win, it doesn't get much better than that.

You guys only have 2 best 22 players missing through injury, Hodge and Roughead. Birchall and Rioli both played last night, and the rest of them are unknown spuds. We on the other hand have 7 best 22 players on the injury list, all this talk of a fabled injury run are downright incorrect. The difference is we have quality depth to replace these players, the Hawfies have the likes of Langford and Shiels and Hill. You don't win too many games with those sorts of players playing senior football.
