3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

Did you seriously say home and away wins count for shit....hahaha
View attachment 204724

Not saying they're not enjoyable as they certainly are at the time but when looking back on seasons do I care that the Hawks only lost 4 games but lost the Grand Final? Or do I look more fondly back at a season where they lost 7 games but won the Grand Final. Grand final winning season hands down.
Simple question, Did you enjoy the 2008 season? more so than the 07,09,11 seasons of the failed dynasty. What about the other choke years other than 08?

The majority of our supporter base actually don't give a shit. After growing up during the 44 year drought I am thankful we have 3 flags and I'm excited about our future. Would I have liked to see as many flags as the Hawks? Yes. But am I in any way envious or jealous of it? Not in the slightest. I love the Cats and nothing any other club does makes me love my team less.

This is something Hawks have trouble grasping.
As you should be happy with what the Cats achieved, they were great years and likely the best in the clubs history so a good time to be a Cats supporter. I have said it before I also liked watching them play, and loved the games between the 2 teams. Hawks, Cats games always gave me a finals like anticipation and excitement about watching those games.
Hopefully they do come good while the Hawks are still 1 of the top teams.
It's evident that Nokia is the minority. Likely outcast from the Geelong board.

This bloke's still going while the rest of the Hawks appear to have accepted their fate. I guess it takes some people a little longer to come to terms with reality.
Doubt you ever will join us all here in the reality that a 3Peat is >>>>>>>>>!> win/choke/win/choke/win/choke

Have 30% of our fans ever tried to vote us out of existence?

Thought not. Piss off minnow
Possibly. But you did rattle...

...and you got belted by the Blooze in a legends game (hosted at Windy Hill)

Talk about an embarrassment...but being a struggletown fan (and likely public housing dweller) that shouldn't surprise

I'd say our fan base (excluding paid members) is bigger than hawthorns.
Cooked finances lol. You might need to have a closer look and you'll see why we lost 3.3 it's all accounted for. When you have a true place to call your own and you redevelop it, it costs money. Dingley barely counts, you'll ditch that in 20 years anyway. Either when the new facility sinks into the chemical cesspit or when your team ditches it's Melbourne fans for tassie full time.
Without tassie your club would be up shit creek without a paddle.
Lol based on?

Hawthorn dwarf Geelong in all indications of support. Think:

Membership - 72,924 v 44,412
Attendances (home / away only) - 40,985 v 34,332
Facebook - 311,812 v 159,817
Twitter - 64,300 v 56,000
Instagram - 102,000 v 76,800
AFL relevence - 2nd v 5th

Lets call a spade a spade. There is no way that Geelong is more popular than Hawthorn (unless meth heads and redundant factory workers appear from no where). Hence why Cook has admitted freely that Geelong cant compete with Hawthorn and Collingwood :)

Big call to play the man considering your preference for codes out of convenience already shows the value of your little paperweight heart where the Hawfs are concerned.

And at the same time exposes how you would've most likely been the 1 in every 3 especially when you personally seem confused between Waverley, a tip or Tassie as to where you should call a 'permanent' home.

All those figures you repetitively quote and it's still not enough...

Lol times Richmond memebers have attempted to vote them out of existence 0 - hawtthorn 1... It is the blackest of black stains on your side that will never be removed. Every club has to knuckle down to survive from one time to another. Tiger fans have proven loyal whereas hawk bandwagoners wanted them gone

Hawthorn don't win a flag for 5 years and just about fold. Says a lot about the fans of both clubs.
Hmmmm, like the goo squad repeatedly say - "Hawf supporters openly DEMAND long term success!!"

But when they don't get it after 5 years they aren't even polite enough to openly hand their own club a blindfold let alone dump shit on the doorstep.

"Euthanize the sick mongrel."

At least they're openly honest in that regard...

Asset capitalisation is a balance sheet item and doesn't record in the P&L, other than the depreciative impacts on those assets. The outlay on the redevelopment should have no impact on the result though.

Depreciation impacts of the demolished stands accounted for 2 of the 3.3mil.

Odd... I'd always assumed the blackest of black stains was your birth certificate.

Yes Launceston is houso town!

Comment about struggle town when the whorks arnt selling home games & reaming the tax payer and afl for hand outs for survival! Then when the whorks can afford to build their facility's instead of renting one for $1 a season, you might have a leg to stand on, instead of suffering a bad case of little man syndrome!

I doubt those housoes living in those housing commission houses rent it for $1 a year!

Lol if you want to rely on social media numbers, compare the NRL clubs to the afl clubs, then you will realise how full of crap they are.

The whorethorn membership numbers are more fudged than what the previous state governments was for the east west links numbets! That's even with all those bandwagon fans

Well said young man. :thumbsu:

Now rally the Bandwagon Flog supporters like Nokia, LLD, Cheffy and get the weak pricks to buy a membership, to help the poor old Handbaggers out of this tragic mess.

Buy a membership like you did?

Like the same way you've seen every hawf GF live in person since '84...

...of like when your penchant for renting cabins on the Tassie coast to accommodate you and your 'mates' for parties on said grand final dates was exposed...

...or different?

At their best, the Cats of 07-11 were better than the Hawks of 13-15 at their best. Hawks have benefitted from having pissweak opponents in September (Swans being one). Looking forwards, its hard to imagine that there will ever be another downhill skiing three-peat in the history of the game. The Mayblooms had their time but nobody is going to remember the slightly above average football, just the sniping.

At their best the Cats went 21-1 in the 2008 H&A season.

2008 Premiers -> Hawthorn FC.
