I recently did a BIG overseas trip of the Middle East and Europe... and amazingly my favourite souvenir that I bought back is Geelong related!

I found these in a Babushka shop in PRAGUE, Czech Republic!! Absolutely blew my mind... had to buy them!

Gotta love having the bald Chappy and Ablett... and I've been wondering if the makers realised the irony of making Ottens the smallest one.

They had pretty much every team, of any sport played in the world... every AFL team, Rugby team etc.

If you're ever in Prague, I recommend you find this shop!

I got those last year too, I strolled past the shop, saw all the soccer ones, but there you go, in the front window - The Cats!

Had to buy it and trek it all around the globe on the return trip.

Sorry to start a thread on it (close it if need be) but does anyone remember the thread that had the pictures of Russian Dolls painted in the colours of premiership players someone found in Prague a couple of years go?

Someone found Eagles ones in the same store in Prague so now The West newspaper believes the Czech Republic is some West Coast Eagles strong hold. Need to send the photos in to set them straight

Wow, that's both touching and ...strangely horrifying.

None of those Russian dolls' faces look even remotely like the players, except for Chappy and GAJ being bald. In fact, Johnno looks a bit like an Easter Island statue.

Oh yes!

Those little beauties... the store had literally every sporting code under the sun, and every AFL team. It blew my mind.

Can't remember the store name though, it was a dinky little place in the city center. Prague is one of those cities you just wander around in, so if anyone wants to find the shop, just go for a walk and I'll bet you'll find it.

Considering the players they've chosen, I reckon they took the highest goal kickers from the team from a particular year - I bought them the start of 2011. If the makers had to chose players, the goal kickers probably seemed the best bet.

I'm also curious as to why Ottens is the smallest of the dolls - surely the first time in his life that he has found himself at the small end of the row.

I had a similar thought when I saw the picture.

They were made by czechs, what else could anybody expect?

And by czechs I mean that AFL would be pretty obscure in their neck of the woods and it's a miracle they knew Chappy and judas are bald.

Yep, they had them all... they had Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton ones sitting out the front which got my attention, then when I went into the store it was a smorgasboard of sports teams - every AFL, NRL, soccer, NFL, NBA etc team you could think of.
