Woods & cats have been average after their glittering starts. Woods play well as underdogs and their intensity and pressure will lift. Manic pressure will defeat Geelong as we crumble in finals. Paddy our key obviously.

Geelong maybe but not the Pies, the only time we've seen anything resembling the 2018 pressure form has been recently and maybe against Bris rd 5. Apart from that we've been less than convincing.

Cats will either end the finals hoodoo by smashing us by 6goals plus or we will beat them in similar fashion due to their poor post bye record. I see no close match here either way.

It will be a close game.
The only player who can decide this game is your ruckman Grundy.
If he dominates, you will do just enough to win it.
If he somehow doesn't play a blinder, or worse, cops an injury, you will lose.

Won't even matter if Hawkins kicks 6, it's all down to bloody Brodie Grundy.

No it isn't. Grundy has been the best ruckman all year and Collingwood lost 7 games. Him starring isn't the difference to winning and losing.

He is the difference when Collingwood play Geelong. In round 1, we were able to nullify his influence to some degree and we barely scraped over the line.
We have pissants in ruck beginning with Rhys Stanley.

If Grundy manages 40+ hitouts and 20+ disposals, game over.

90,000+ Tickets were sold out in 30 minutes.
Not sure where you got that from.
There are heaps still for sale on level 4, near the front too.
MCC still have reserve seats for sale, and they have thousands of walk up seats too available on the night.

The AFL Members (about 20k) did sell out today in something like 15 min.

Must be nice going for clubs where you know you can jump on hours after they go on sale and still buy finals tickets... us poor suckers get an hour tops.
Scarcity is the issue.

When you can go to finals any year you kind of get used to it.

When it's once in a lifetime every man and his dog wants a ticket.

Grundy has had 40+ hitouts and 20+ disposals 9 times this year and Collingwood has lost 4 of those games. And in those 4 losses he had 33 clearances by himself.

It's a very simplistic way to measure influence. .

He won't be the difference in this game.

mate, it may be simplistic in your view of things but when we are talking about a game which is literally 50/50 and possibly going to be separated by a goal or so, the influence of the ruckman in this particular match up is going to be extremely influential to the end result.
You can give me all the wonderful stats throughout the year when Collingwood lost but as it stands heading into this one, Stanley/Blicavs vs Grundy is the key match up.
If Geelong happened to have a decent ruckman, we would not have lost games to Port Adelaide or Brisbane.

Haha. We won the minor premiership so Stanley isn't as bad as you imagine given you think ruckman are the difference to winning and losing games.

There's many factors that will decide this game but Grundy in the ruck isn't the deciding one no matter how much you parrot on that it is.

Comes down to Geelong's bottom 6 for mine. If 2E, Menegola, Bews, Narkle, Miers, MOC etc all play their roles and dont necessarily have great statistical games per se, we are in it up to our necks.

If they are nowhere and poor at their roles as well... more trouble than the early settlers.
