Giants played out of their skin to win that. You feel that we had a number of players that had off days like Sel and Danger.

Simply put, GWS brought a level of play in the second half well above what Geelong has seen thus far this year, more akin to a top 4 side and closer to how finals are played, and it exposed that not enough improvement has been made in personnel or play style for this side to compete at that level. The speed, the intensity, the structure, the skill. Geelong just looked like they weren't even in the same league after half time. Beating Collingwood in round 1 and then beating a couple of bottom 8 sides has perhaps cultivated the perception that more improvement has been made than is reality.

The deliveries inside 50 were garbage. Instead of eyes down and hitting a target it was repeated bombs to their free player. Main guilty suspects were Kelly and Selwood.

Mids were unaccountable. Too much left to too few. Would want to see a few asses kicked and dropped to the VFL. Henry might do well with a spell because he hasn't been too flash this season. Will be interesting to see who steps up in the VFL to make a claim.

s**t day, many players down and just played dumb footy. Giants slaughtered us in the midfield today and our forward line just didn’t function.

Kelly dangerfield selwood terribly down all game. The midfield could not possibly have played worse than it did and GWS couldn’t possibly play better than they just did.

Will write it off as just a very poor game based off how badly our top performers were down.

Surprised we only lost by 4 points given how bad we played and how good they played.

On the balance of things, I think the Giant's deserved that win. Their disposal and spread was superior to ours in the second half, their midfield dominated us. The Cat's have been brought back down to earth after a dream start. This loss is not the end of the world, it gives the coaches a good look at the things they need to tighten up going forward. The Giants are a top 4 team that's for sure, but so are we. It just wasn't our day today.

No-one willing to run when we inevitably turned it over. A forward line that spent half the day in defense.

Hawkins our best by a country mile. Shocked we didn't lose by more tbh. When you let the likes of Kelly, Whitfield, and Coniglio do what they want under almost no pressure then you're asking for trouble.

Credit to GWS, a midfielder down the whole day and yet out run and out worked Geelong, they were sensational. We looked tired and it really showed in the end, can't quite figure out where out extra was in the last 10 mins as we kept bombing it long to their out number but yet they still seemed to have the numbers up the ground.

Funny at the start of the year I had this game as a lock for a win and the first 3 were games we had the potential to drop. Still take 3-1 but games like this hurt you come the later rounds.
