Agreed. We're reaping the benefits of having Scarlo and Enright as defensive coaches. Every backman we're churning out has been great

I had heard there was no ruck coach, but could be wrong, or could have misinterpreted 'no full time ruck coach' as no ruck coach.

Last year there was an announcement that Otts was helping out part time, then in pre-season Vardy in an interview contrasted having Dean Cox full time with Otts once every two or three weeks as something driving his improvement.

Whether or not he's helping out I'd definitely rather have at least some dedicated specialists for roles like key forward and ruck.
