We're well and truly alive Doc. Don't you worry about that! Come on Catgirl you know we're right... :D

If the coaching staff continue to plonk Harry up forward for 6 touches a game, I may well join the #getguthrieback bandwagon. God knows we will need it

One debut final does not "not up to finals footy" make.

I reckon he's been reasonable actually, not the same lottery with ball in hand as he can be.
Ok yoda :D I'll rephrase it then. In the one final that he did play he was the worst player on the ground and was our only player to be dropped for the following match.

I disagree that he's been reasonable this season. Infact, I reckon he's been even more of a liability with ball in hand than what he was last season.

Valid, your point is. I suspect that the Force is Good-Honest-Player-level strong with this one.

I think you're a bit harsh there Stan...

Yes, he's raw, but i think he's worth persevering with. He needs more experience at this level no doubt, but he's hard and doesn't mind the tough stuff. Happy to get his hands dirty and does some good things, sometimes in pressure situations. He did much better than Stewart last week.

I think we should pump games into him, so that he IS up to finals footy when the time comes.
Harsh maybe, but true as well I reckon. Particularly the part about not improving his weaknesses over the off season. I've never questioned his effort but as I'm sure you know, effort will sometimes only get you so far.

Lets say that we do pump games into him, that doesn't magically mean that he is going to be able to cope with finals footy when it comes around. I haven't seen any improvements in his game from last season compared to now and that concerns me about a player that was a clear liability in the one final that he was chosen for last season.

He was poor against Melbourne but showed clear improvement over preseason and in the first two games. On the right track for mine.

Haha, what? You mean #intangibletaylor :D

As far as #getguthrieback goes we would be happy to have you on board. Then we wouldn't have to continue to play #struggles

Are you implying that I post excessively? [emoji23] because I have too much time on my hands these days and it may or may not be true

I understand that it may be benefitting Hawkins but surely there is somebody who can do the same role and also be able to chip in down there, while allowing one of our best KPD ever to go back to doing his thing?
I've always been an advocate of Hendo staying back in defence because he's a pretty bloody good defender. However, Taylor is also a pretty bloody good defender, also.

The difference is, while both are ideal down back, only one of the two is adept at playing forward. Hint: it ain't the bloke who sips cognac while mulling over notes he wrote the last time he played on his upcoming match-up for the week.

I've seen the structural benefit of having a second tall forward, with Tom and Menzel frequently getting off the leash. It's robbing Peter to pay Paul; structurally it's great even if it's a less than ideal useage of valuable personnel.

I personally think Henderson should play as the second tall forward, while Taylor should go back to CHB. Lonergan won't play next year, in my opinion, so the view should be to develop a forward so Hendo can go back to permanent defender in 2018.

It's easier said than done - I'm not sure whether Buzza will cut it - but if he or even Stanley (I'm less than hopeful with him) can step up as the second tall, we'll have a more than capable defence post-Lonergan so long as both Taylor and Henderson play defence.

The second tall will come from House or Black for 2017. No one else looks possible at this stage.

We will know more when Esava R. and Buzza go around for a few weeks against listed opponents. House has shown he can do well at VFL level and Black has shown he was able (in the past) to do well at AFL level.

Nah, you don't post enough Catgirl.

I think that you misunderstood me. #struggles is my # name for Tommy Ruggles. :D
