Fair question. I think the answer is still yes but it's not as stupid question as some will make out.Semi serious question, is Ablett an automatic in?

Surely they'll keep rotating. And what about Narkle, was looking good earlier in the year.Ratogulea out, Henderson in.
Stanley in,. Blicavs giving him a chop out when needed.
The team is beautifully balanced now.
Sav only gets in now on injuries.
Without injuries the only 2 I could see possibly getting into this side now would be Ablett and Cockatoo.

Cheers. I meant it really as something to think about, obviously you pick arguably the best player ever. But they need to use him wisely, attacking flank for mine.Fair question. I think the answer is still yes but it's not as stupid question as some will make out.
Best part was Brian Lake texting in how to stop Tom Hawkins.
I forgot that, couple of iffy calls gave them some easy goalsPort kicked 4 goals tonight
3 were free kicks
2 of those were 50 meters
That’s an elite defensive setup

Port fans melting hard online - apparently they're only 4 players off being 10 goal better side than we saw tonight...
Play him from behind from memoryWas it "play with a better defensive unit"?
Probably "play behind a midfield that isn't getting eviscerated" would be a good tip to write down too. Not much Port's defenders could do with the ball coming in like that. Was it "play with a better defensive unit"?
Was that Bews' first ever game without an OOF?Anyone who doubts the benefits of staying up near the top of the ladder instead of bottoming out need only look at the development of players like Bews, O'Connor and Henry. Constant competiveness has allowed them to grow, learn from their mistakes and improve with the protection of a strong defensive unit around them who can scaffold them through the process of becoming better players. Imagine if we had bottomed out and they were surrounded instead by players as young or even younger than them. Their mistakes would be amplified further and there would be far greater risk that their bad games - if they occurred in big losses and if they occurred with the rest of the defensive unit also crumbling around them - would do far longer-lasting damage to their confidence.

I know it sounds crazy. But who goes out for him? And he potentially reduces our pace and hasn't played footy for a month by the time he becomes available. You'd obviously want him in but they'll have to figure out how to use him in a team that is running beautifully. He naturally plays the role Miers has been playing.
Likewise Narkle for that matter. Parfitt and Atkins would be looking over their shoulders.
Yep, I think we've found our optimal structure.

Parfitt is best 22. His defensive game is outstanding.
Play him from behind from memory
I regard him as a chronic underperformer. He's played two memorable games in his career where he showed what he is capable of, most weeks we get about 60-70% of that for some reason.Parfitt is best 22. His defensive game is outstanding.
