Geelong disciplines two stray Cats
16 February 2006 Herald Sun
Mark Robinson and Scott Gullan

VICE-CAPTAIN Matthew Scarlett and forward Kent Kingsley have been disciplined after abandoning Geelong's community camp for a night.
Gary Ablett Sr steps out

In a move that angered senior teammates, the two chose to leave a private leadership gathering at Aireys Inlet last Wednesday night for personal reasons.

They returned to their homes in Geelong and Torquay before going back to Aireys Inlet the next morning, when they apologised.

Absolute storm in a tea cup if ever there was one. These are adults we are talking about who had to leave 'work' due to personal issues (if we believe that it happened as reported).

Bring on the football!

Another big day at the HUN! It's a great magazine.

Surely Mark Robinson did not want to put his name to this rubbish.

Actually I have a scoop for tomorrow "Gary Ablett Jnr sighted picking his nose. Club to act swiftly!"

They players should be punished by being forced to participate in the thread on the main board.

At least we don't have our captain associating with convicted crims (that we know of), or upon seeing a booze bus jumping out of his car and running off into the night like the captain of another top 4 club.

So anyone want to take a punt at the real story?
I can picture Scarlo coming home to be with his young wife and sick father, but what do you reckon Kinglsey was up to?

Or had they both just cracked the sh*ts?

Kizon's not actually a convicted crim. He has no record whatsoever and has never had charges laid against him, despite how many he's been up on.

Exactly.. makes you almost relieved (almost) that ol Benny doesnt play for us! What a w-anker :D

Too bad it didnt happen on the same day Scarlett and Kingsley did their "indiscretions", otherwise we wouldnt have even heard about it! Heard Thompson this morning talking on SEN and he basically said it was a non-issue.

PS. Ya'll realise this time next week we'll all be gettin ready to go to the footy!!!! :)
