Ottens will play full forward. Graham will stay at Centre Half Forward. Kingsley Im not sure either a flank or a pocket. I'd probably say a pocket.

So,

HF: Steve Johnson, Ben Graham, Peter Riccardi
F: Kent Kinglsey, Brad Ottens, Paul Chapman

Ottens will alternate with King in the ruck. When Ottens is forward he will play about 25m out from goal, in a bit of a combo FF/CHF role, when King goes forward he will play out of the goalsquare.

The only major change this will cause is that it will free Kant Kicksley up to play as a leading flanker, and also allow him to play on the third defender.

Have Kingy and Ottens working in tandem in the ruck and while one is in the ruck have the other at full forward or the pocket. You cant go wrong, will be the most powerful ruck combo in the league.

Ottens not only helps fill the hole in the forward line but as said he is more than useful in the ruck and adds depth to our rucking division. No offence to Moons or Playfair they just aren't ruckmen in my book.

So you wouldn't play Kingsley? I don't know if Mackie will play alot of footy seems to be that odd man out. Gardiner also hopefully will improve but Haynes is right in there too.

Haynes, Mackie and Gardiner will fight for the same spots, Mackie will be a certainty if he gets stronger and Gardiner as well if his shots at goal improve. My only problem with Kingsley is his kicking, i just don't think he will get a spot kicking less than 50% of his shots. I really rate Haynes, but think the conditions will depend on whether he gets a game. Perhaps if they were all better at picking the ball off the ground then all 3 could play. Dunno really, glad i'm not a selector, i really can't decide.

Sorry to say WC but Wake up to yourself.

Kingsley is the best fast lead we have. His kicking was a shocker this year but he can kick 50 per year no problems. He is one out or on a fast lead. Mackie needs more kgs before he could do that and isnt as quick out on the run.
He is probably (at present) # 3 selected in the forwards after Ottens and Graham. Gardnier is along the lines of Johnson but is probably a better mark.

You would have Chapman and Ablett in the pockets with Johno the extra.

Ricco would be a bench warmer and come on later as per this year but on a wing/centre floating forward.

S Johnson Graham Chapman
Kingsley Ottens Ablett

With this you would have a marking tall with a med and a small crmbing on each line.

This would all get thrown out as soon as a club like the swans or Premiershipmond start to flood back.

I disagree that Kingsley is the best fast lead we have, i think Haynes is. However, Knigsley is bigger and stronger than Haynes and therefore provides better allround ability overhead. But Haynes is better at ground level. Kingsley's other downfall (apart from his kicking this year) is his continued attempts to mark the ball on his chest when on the lead, instead of out in front of his face with his arms extended, this means that it is easier for the defender to punch the ball away. I do rate Kingsley (in fact i told a mate earlier this year that he would be as good as Lloyd if he put his mind to it, and he did it for one match) and i'm sure he will get a game at the start of the year, however his kicking will need to be good to keep Mackie out.

Also, i don't think you can compare Gardiner with Johnno. Johnno is a freak, Gardiner has good sense and is a strong mark. And Ablett will probably play more in the midfield than the forward line next year as you cannot restrict a player of his ability to only the forward line.

Ottens would want to stay as close to the middle as possible in Round 1 as 60,000 Richmond people will be letting him know what they think of him.
We may even cause a riot.
You should have gone to Footscray because you're a dog.
Take your handbag and head off to never never land.
I hope you've done a Buckley!!!!!!

Is Nathan Brown also a dog?

Deadset, would have to be the 3565th time that line has been used by a supporter of the club who won the wooden spoon last year.
Our club won as many games in 2004 as your club has won in the past three years. I don't think you should be throwing stones.

Spot on, I reckon. The added bonus of this set-up (to my mind anyway) is that it means that Mooney can play as a third tall defender, and I think he looks more comfortable in the back line than up forward, although I would not rule out throwing him onto the ball from time to time.

My complete forward structure would be:

HF: Johnson, Graham, Mackie
FF: Kingsley, Ottens, Chapman
(Ablett to play on the ball, alternating with Chapman)

Spot on. A flanker he is, dont see how people see him as a pocket player when he is a chest marker and doesent fly packs.

S.Johnson Graham Kingsley
Ablett Ottens Chapman

Apart from Kingsley and Graham most of those players would be rotating during the game I suspect, Johnson less than the others

Yeah we did but under different circumstances,Ottens came out and stated that he owed the Richmond Football Club for his poor form over past years, also agreed that he had been highly paid on potential, not to mention we paid him while he sat on the sidelines for 12 weeks while recovering from a backyard accident with a garden stake through the thigh, he agreed that he his form warranted a pay cut and then when his new contract was put to him he stated that the RFC had lost faith in him.
Injury after injury after injury and we lost faith in him.
I am led to believe that he had the potential to earn up to his past contract on a performance base, but Brad must have lost faith in himself knowing he wasn't on a free ride anymore.
He is a mercenary not a messiah.

How many Premierships.

Bridesmaid never the bride.
The 1985 material keeps being trotted out.

Bottom line, you and most of your supporters are horribly hypocratic after embracing Nathan Brown, whilst in your current position, it is unbelievably arrogant to be slinging ******** at any other club, let alone one coming off a top 4 finish.

I don't get it with Ottens. So many of you call him a dud and a hack, yet are still totally obsessed by him and Geelong.
If my club lost a dud, i would be happy about it, rather than whining non-stop.
