Classic Morris junk reporting.

You ask the club if they are considering it, then regardless of their response, they have (as a consequence of answering the question) technically “considered” it.

He knows nothing either way, but can’t be proven wrong regardless. Cheap journalism.

You're probably right, but why do i believe it? Lachie said on SEN this morning that Fagan said he would be in the best 23, not 22. Likewise, Fagan was coy about this topic during the press conference today. Maybe he's playing mind games. Who would know? But i have this sinking feeling it will actually go this way.

I dont mind it to be honest. Two reasons:
1. Last week's midfield did a good job. Give them a shot first. If it works, great. If it doesn't, no problem, pull the trigger, inject a two time Brownlow Medal winner.
2. Lachie can't be fit. Like seriously... 1 game in about 8 weeks. And with his calf, his running would be well down. His base fitness would be quite high, but I dont mind giving him at least a quarter off...

On the other hand... if we do pull the trigger, inject him in the 2nd quarter when we're struggling, and his calf goes... well that's the game.

I was a bit surprised we didn't rule out today that Lachie might be the sub. We're not usually coy about these things.

I don't love the idea. And I can't think of a time we've done anything similar at selection. It doesn't really scream confidence and self-belief.

If Lachie starts as sub i doubt we’d be putting Lachie into the game in the first half unless there’s an injury. The boys who have done it for the last 6 weeks would be given well into the 3rd quarter before breaking the glass.

I don’t think it’s a great idea - but the flip side is the current midfield has been getting the job done. Maybe they don’t want to upset that balance with a suspect Lachie.

It's obviously more about him and what he's capable of right now.

If he was fully fit he's one of the first picked.

Zorko should follow up what he did last week when he almost stole Cox's glasses, and steal Bailey Smith's headband and wear it for the rest of the game.

If he does this I won't be wearing pants 😂

all the journalists reporting Lachie sub now so looks likely

I’ve been wrong about a lot of stuff so hope this is a good sign - I hate this.

If we are concerned about his ability to perform such that he can’t start on ground, then he shouldn’t be playing at all.

I think its more the case of if its going pear shaped they have something they can try, if he didnt play and its not going well bringing tunstill on isn't going to change the course of the game

It is going to be very, very sad if we have to bring him on in the 4th quarter when the game is out of reach.
