Thanks Servo, I wasn't going to start a topic on this but since you mentioned it. What a bloody good win it was.

Having said that, if you get 47 points up mid wasy through the second quarter, you shouldn't get into the position of almost losing it. But the fact remains they didn't lose and that's all that counts in the long run.

I have to agree with Sam Newman (the real one, not the one on this post) and say that the Bulldogs had 6 of the 8 best on ground, but that isn't good enough if you don't get the points.

We realise that we won't win the flag, but we now should play finals football which will be great experience for the young players like Spriggs, Ling, Clarke, McKay, Chapman and even Steven King.

We still aren't playing as well as we did at the start of the year, but we're third after 13 rounds. Even Bomber Thompson said he didn't expect to be that high at this stage.

Just think, if the season ended now Geelong would have a double chance and play Carlton at the MCG next week.

Unfortunately the season hasn't ended and we have to play Carlton at Optus Oval next week instead. BUGGER!!!!

Great win today Cats, bring on the Blues.

Don't presume you know what I'm thinking servo. I was disgusted with win by Geelong, it felt like a loss. They played like $hit in the 2nd half, and Menschy is a complete ******, sure the Dogs are a good side, but i honestly thought we would win by 80 plus points at half time, and then we stopped and played like handbaggers. We were shocking and i bet we will be whipped by Carlton this week. And no, i'm not a bad supporter, just an honest and realistic one.

G4E

God, you're a knob-head.

Some of the most satisfying victories are when you are challenged, yet you respond to the challenge and win.

If the Bulldogs are a good side, as you say (and they are), then why would you expect to beat them by 80 points ?????

Even 41 points up at half time, would mean you'd have to outscore this good team by ANOTHER 7 goals in the second half. It's hard enough to outscore the Bulldogs at all. They're a good team.

It's pretty selfish to expect to outscore a team, equal in talent with Geelong (perhaps with more talent) by another 7 goals in the second half.

Obviously, the Doggies were going to play better, and choc ful of confidence, they did just that. Their second halves have been great in the last 3 weeks.

I would have though any sort of win agaisnt the Doggies at their home ground (even though it was a Cats home game) would be very satisfying.

Do you expect a premiership calibre side to just fall out of the sky down at Kardinia Park or something ? Geelong is finding a way to accumulate wins, which is a good sign. Even though they have only played one half of football the last two weeks (against Collingwood and the Bulldogs), they have won regardless.

They are finding ways to win no matter what. Just be thankful your team is doing well. Be a bit more like gocatsgo, and you will be a better supporter.

Fool.

Well said Dan24, G4E is a complete Knobhead who obviously knows absolutely nothing about football.

It (I'm not even going to bother with him/her anymore!!!) gives all Geelong supporters a bad name.

From now on, lets just ignore it, you never know, it might go away.
