So no mentions of the bullshit marks that were paid and all that

typical

The umpiring department needs a big clean out and time for professional umpires , their ego needs to be put in check and be allowed to criticise when they are blatantly making the wrong calls.

They can go on with all the 'contextual analysis' they like out of Thursday night's game.

But it takes all of thirty seconds apiece to see that De Goey's first and last marks on the night (both leading to goals) were incorrectly paid. Yet Razor has time to go on a radio program to wax lyrical about the supposed nuance of a HTB call that didn't go against Gaz.

You seriously couldn't write it this messed up and have people believe it.

And the umpiring and AFL department wonders why there’s so little respect towards umpires

I still can’t decide if they are being obtuse/deflecting or just trolling at this point

How many free kicks do they miss and he comes out with this verbal diarhoea. Absolute campaigner.
Never seen him come out and talk about this for any other games he's officiated. Seems rather defensive.

It's a strange article. Completely unneeded and doesn't break any new ground. Of course he's going to back his decisions in. He's not going to say "I made a few errors on a few touch and go subjective frees that could be interpreted in several ways". It's his job and his career. He won't come out and say that he made mistakes on his job...

So the point of the article was what? ... justification?

I think the modern terminology is 'doubling down'.

Still, when you're doubling down on incompetence and hubris, it makes for a rather heady mix.

Chamberlain said they got it wrong as it should have been 25 to 8.
God help us???
Dangers reply was excellent. 4 out on the full so we only deserved 4 frees in a full game...struth.

2 points about this game.
1. Despite their loss to West Coast, Collingwood are a good team that we struggled to match up against.
2. The umpiring really was terrible. When the commentators are making comment on how one sided the umpiring is against Geelong, when they normally say very little about decisions against Geelong, you know it's pretty obvious.

Razor Ray needs to learn the best games are where the umpires are pretty much invisible. Where decisions are made with minimal controversy; where the game can flow with minimal interruption from the umpires, and where decisions are consistent. My pet peeves are where the ball is dropped when the tackle is made without a call, where the man on the mark is interfered with by a second opponent, and where the player plays on to advantage only to be called back.
