According to Jerry the Swan, the Demetriou Swans were missing 10 of their best 22 on the weekend.

I get Shaw, Mumford, Jetta and Reid, but is LRT really best 22 and could you possibly play Tiprat, Goodes, Reid, Pyke, Mumford, Richards, Grundy, Alex Johnston and LRT all in the one side?

The funny thing is, everyone thinks Sydney played bad.....well keep thinking that.....They were comprehensively smashed by the mighty power. Keep underestimating us.
So much this...

- we didn't allow them to get their in vogue "slingshot" going
- they still managed the occasional loose midfield (Goodes) to drop off outside of the contest for some easy goals in the 1st half, but we tightened up on that in the 2nd.
- they then had to resort to the contested, tackling crash and bash style around the packs, but we beat them at their game.
- their much lauded "soak and rebound defence" was under so much pressure, which they couldn't break from, they simply buckled.

I was going to go into a schpeel about you being blind etc. etc., but I'm going to do an honest post for a minute. In all honesty I know why people who don't watch too many Swans games would think this about LRT. He does look a bit unusual in how he goes about his footy, but he is a very important player in the Swans line up. He is a fantastic tackler and spoiler and rarely loses a one on one contest. His attack on the footy is manic and he is courageous as anyone.

When he was playing forward last year it was as a defensive forward, not as a goal kicker and if you look back on our games over the last few years he will have beaten his opponent in 95% of the them.

Very important and disciplined player - can't wait to have him back. Our backline has ssome serious holes in it at the moment (******* Armstrong ).

LRT is so best 22 he has two premiership medals to show for it.

You may recall a highlight from last years grand final where he picked up the ball, held it, took a couple of steps, then got tackled. The umpire liked LRT so much he called play on, and Goodes kicked to Jack in the square and he goaled. We won that game.

Your offended will be something special.

Please be online 1 hour after the game so I can gloat about Port and bag the wobbles.
I'll be at my folks house and should be on afterwards when I get back home.

If i'm not here, I will be here on Sunday when I can get access to a computer.

I am looking forward to pummeling Port once again! :thumbsu:

You obviously don't watch the swans much.
