If the club didn't talk to the media though, how would all the members and supports know how the players etc are handling the week?
I am a journalism student so maybe this shows why I am sort of leaning towards the media in some respects.
I hear what you're saying, but I never hear anything but crap in these things anyway. For instance there were clearly large sections of the media that picked up on Chocko's line that the Cats weren't used to the pressure, etc, etc, when there were clearly other explanations: the Cats didn't care about what the media thought of them, they cared about what the supporters thought of them, and the only way to influence that at this stage of the season was to win the game. I only heard a couple of media commentators say that though, everyone else was happy to run with the explanation put forward by Chocko.
It's the same with a bunch of things this year, Bomber's contract is another thing for instance.
