Geelong fans and I’m sure GFC itself couldn’t give a **** what a minnow club and their fans think when they’re a drain on the League.

We were one of the only clubs through Covid that paid for ourselves. And this is quite ironic coming from the club that has had more government funding than anyone else in the competition… and by a fair amount too.

The afl owns your stadium mate. Tv networks effectively paid for where you play. Tremendous effort. How much does that add to your score every week? Does it mean they adjust goals/behinds kicked?

Such a sad and pathetic fan trope this is.

Amongst NRL, AFL, A League and Cricket you'd be hard pressed to find more than a couple non-taxpayer funded stadia for teams to play pro sport on. Marvel would be one, and even then that's hardly a flex for its tenant clubs as they didn't pay for it either.

Alas, for balance, we've actually contributed our own cash into developing our ground.
Not many pro teams in this country could state similar.

Now you’re saying that in 2020 when Scott coached for free, he time travelled forward to 2024-25 to organise is current side hustles and then went back and said ‘ok so I’ve got these future jobs lined up so I’m sweet to do this for nothing.’
