Player managers love us. Opposition players would rather play for us. We're just so damn sexy.

Easy to deal with, players love the lifestyle, the land packages, and the vibe of the club. Netflix will make a series about the Club. Guy Pearce will play Chris Scott

Stay triggered. The tone of the OP was to ridicule the silly baseless notion that somehow the AFL looks the other way to allow Geelong (a club that Tiggie and some other Big 4 clubs fans like to refer as an irrelevant minnow) to pay players more than the stipulated salary cap. It was not an admission of guilt that non Geelong fans seem to think it was.I love the mighty Catters nuffies who whinge and crack the sads about this thread existing in circumstances where it was created by a cats fan and continues to be bumped after weeks of inactivity by -checks notes- Cats nuffies.

I can tolerate this sort of whinge from smaller clubs like North, Dogs, etc.. but from entitled spoilt princesses in heathen lands (like the Bears, Suns, Giants, Swans, etc... ) that get well looked after by the AFL via the draft and financially in order to maximise the TV rights; it's impossible to stomach and their hypocritical arses should be banned from contributing in threads like this.
Why are you so obsessed with Cotton On? They're only the apparel sponsor at Geelong, not the major sponsorNot much of a destination when there's a few waves and a zillion Cotton On franchises!!!
"B-B-B-BUT player managers are going to stop their players going to Geelong because they're hard to deal with", or so the scribes of BigFooty.com have reliably informed me...![]()
A fair few red faces from the regulars in this very thread for falling for the Caro bait. We won't call them out, but they know who they are. A quiet giggle or two has been shed at their expense.Has anything been found yet?
Oppo fans can't seem to get over this non-event.
Noone has said its the player managers. Its the clubs who hate dealing with Geelong. Player managers love Geelong because they get the players they want.
That said, you do have to wonder how many farms and pubs in the greater Geelong area have 5% or 10% ownership by player manager agencies.
Also, its now been months since Caro broke the story about Geelong being naughty. Anything been announced or are the AFL still trying to find ways to hide the evidence so they can give out the slap-on-the-wrist penalty?
Check your notes again, as we use it as a thread to mock crybabies. It serves it's purpose. That was so sweet I almost want to go back and change the 2009 GF result for you.If I was an AFL player, I know that I wouldn't just take a pay cut to play for the almighty Geelong Cats, I would actually pay the club money for the privilege. Hoping to hear back soon on my application to make GMHBA the 8th wonder of the world.
