We already signed up Dempsey, Messi and Scratcher Neale so they aren't included and the rest of this list is looking pretty barren for talent anyway.

He wanted to leave but to stay on as AFL general manager until the end of the year. The AFL said you're not staying on to the end of the year, you're leaving now because you have accepted a job back at Geelong and you're meant to represent all clubs not Geelong.
So they sacked him for conflict of interest.
