Can we actually get a Geelong fan on this forum to explain how this isn't blatant cheating? I'm yet to hear anything from them outside of childish comebacks.
Sure - because it was a minor administration error to do with the AFLW.

“The Extended Audit found, on the basis of the information obtained and reviewed by the AFL, that the Club did not breach the AFL TPP Limit nor the AFL player movement rules in any season within the timeframe assessed.

There ya go.

And the worst kept secret in the AFL is finally revealed to all.

Now where are those flog Cats fans saying they did nothing wrong.

Funny how when the crows did the same exact thing ONE TIME, they lost draft picks, but when Geelong do it multiple times they get a slap on the wrist.
Tippetgate was 200 thousand dollars over the salary cap.

Geelong was found to not breach the salary cap.

Do you get the difference? One club did not cheat the salary cap while the other club did cheat.

Geelong supporters rolling out the Bigfooty 'My clubs been caught in a scandal' starter pack

"lol where's the proof?"

"So what if they found something? it's just a paperwork error - we did nothing wrong"

"It's not as bad as what club X did X years ago"

"Everyone is doing it, they just haven't been caught yet"
This is nail on the head type of stuff here.

Those Cotton On outfits from Mad Monday haven't aged so well, have they boys?

The league should expect people to doubt the standard of a report conducted by one of theirs who has ties to the investigated after their own investigation into the Essendon saga reported that since they can't find a direct chain of custody from sale to skin there is nothing further to rule, case dismissed. That was what the AFL found. If you couldn't show it was the same substance purchased to the one injected then there is reasonable enough doubt - no more questions.

The same group who have never released public notice of a strike that hasn't first been reported elsewhere, despite it being their policy.

It's unfair on Geelong to have to wear the stain of that, but the AFL made the situation and poured fuel on the fire when they made third party deals regulated after Judd moved to Visy and played for Carlton.

I think it makes them even funnier. They’re not mocking the AFL. They’re mocking you idiots who think that this is somehow proof that everyone is getting a house and land deal as well as a bag of cash each week in a McDonalds cat park.

"The AFL conducted an 'extended audit' covering the 2019-2024 seasons, which found that the Cats did not breach the AFL's total player payments limit, or the AFL player movement rules, at any time in that period."

Just keep bumping this until it sinks in.

Don't let any of this distract anyone from the fact Geelong lost the grand final by 10 goals.

What has that got to do with this thread?

If we wanted to start a losing Grand Finals thread we would have put Collingwood in the title but it’s unrelated.

Stay on point

They didnt find anything related to the salary cap. No salary cap breach in any year.

Biased anti geelong supporters are struggling with the facts.

Now lets be fair and audit all the other clubs extensively.

It has everything to do with it. Brisbane played above the rules, and still whalloped you.

Depends on how you look at it. From your point of view maybe not, but from mine it's 10x funnier now that we've gotten away with it.

Which makes more sense:

Reaction 1 = Well there ya go, all the rumours were mainly trolling anyway. Bit of fun.

Reaction 2 = This is in fact evidence of another cover up. The conspiracy goes all the way to the top.

“The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory, is that conspiracy theorists believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is actually chaotic. The truth is far more frightening - Nobody is in control.
If you want to know why conspiracy theories are wrong, it's because people are just not that good at keeping secrets.”
