Geelong rorting the system

If Geelong is doing nothing different to other clubs regarding third party payments, then I’ll stop worrying about it. I don’t have proof the AFL is doing anything shady when it comes to this.

I’m not saying that nothing’s shady about the AFL’s relationship with Geelong. For example, I think Hocking constantly changing the rule to seemingly counter Richmond’s gamestyle, and Essendon copping the brunt of the drug saga when Geelong people implemented the program was shady. You’re welcome to disagree, but that’s my opinion on it.

Having said that, I don’t think the AFL would look past circumventing the salary cap. If they say there’s nothing in it after the audit, then I’ll believe it.
At least nine of your premierships came after defeating Geelong, yet the Cats seem to occupy most of your thoughts. Care to explain that, Mr. Richmond supporter?

Well might you ask!! An aging WA former champion Geelong recruited in 1980 at the age of 30 or 31. The first supposedly talented interstate recruit by Geelong since Denis Marshall in the 1960's and WeaponX was "suspicious" of rorting back then even though a salary cap was unheard of!

Its said suspicion always haunts the guilty mind!

More malarkey claims from a club whose supporters make a habit of false.

Speaking of malarkey, you even signed a player of that name from WA in 1974:

So stop lying to go with all your club's cheating Sttewpid.

Bryan Cousins, John Mossop, Mark Yeates, Peter Featherby, Jack Hawkins, Richard Murrie, the list goes on & on.

So Medicority thinks recruiting Brian Peake was a salary cap rort? Or that Geelong's amazing number of interstate recruits is in some way unique?

Bizarre, considering just how many Western Australians and interstate players Richmond recruited in the 1970's and 1980's. Let's look at that list -

Paul Sproule;
Mal Brown;
Bruce Monteath;
Neville Roberts;
Michael Roach;
Brian Taylor;
Neal Balme;
Maurice Rioli;
Bill Nettlefold;
Darryl Sutton
Robert Wiley
Stephen Mount

There's probably more....

You're naming players that came from other state's when those states weren't even included in the comp.

Or players who's father's played for Geelong.

Good one.

The difference is I never said otherwise, whereas you took the Geelong route and lied when you said Peake was your only interstate recruit since Marshall. Just more Geelong lies, more lies from you as per.

How do you do it? So effortessly I mean. It is like you start out each day with a long list if lies you want to tell, then your day's mission is to find places to tell them. Sadly on this occasion you ran into me, a committed truth teller. :)

That seems a small point to pick up and score points with.

Well done, I guess?

Fact remains that those players mentioned played before the salary cap was introduced.

I do think that if the AFL discovered wrongdoing from both Essendon and Geelong re the drug saga, they 1000000% would’ve preferred Essendon to take the fall given that they made basically no impact on the results of the competition for a couple of decades.

Bombers taking the fall meant there were no implications on discrediting premierships or telling other clubs ‘sorry, Geelong we’re taking PEDs and you missed out because of them, bad luck!’ Also doesn’t cause issues with betting agencies.

Are you accusing Geelong of doping?

I knew other clubs were jealous of our sustained success but it's getting a bit creepy now.

The accusation has been made before. I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true, given the crossover of staff who implemented the program at Essendon and the success of Geelong just prior to that. AFL also has plenty of motivation to sweep that under the rug.

Not sure of it, but not surprised if true. That’s where I stand. I don’t lose sleep over it.

So somehow our doping worked and Essendon's didn't yet we were all doing the same stuff with the same staff.

OK.

Just a massive coincidence the big players behind Essendon's drug saga were all at Geelong prior. I'm sure nothing dodgy was going on.

Dons got caught.....before it worked.

Your mob didn't get caught.

The doping program people at Essendon Dank worked at Geelong prior.

Not too many dots to join there.

Matt Stokes says hi.

So does Stengle.

Oh and Smith.

Garry Ablett Snr was no Saint either.

So sure. Glass houses and stone throwing. How's that working for you?

Meth and coke are quite different. Do you think none of the current WC playing group are dabbling in coke on the weekends/offseason? OK.

Was Gaz using heroin during his playing days? That would have been quite difficult.

This is it for opposition cookers, the last bastion.

Drugs cope? Investigated and cleared by ASADA. ✅
Coaching soft cap cope? Investigated and cleared by AFL. ✅
Salary cap and third party deals? Currently being audited.

Snookered completely and utterly. The benchmark of the 21st century who laughed in the face of equalisation that every other club in the land has fallen victim to. Time to prostrate before your regional overlords.

This is becoming stupid. i.e irrelevant to an audit.

Dank NEVER worked with Geelong.
Robinson asked Hocking to meet him, and he did in Sydney. And he said NO.

end of story.

Let's get back to discussing all the farms our players get. It's more fun.
