Father sons? Jed Bews (our only listed father son) didn't play on the weekend.
I am talking about the way your flag teams were compiled. This current team has it all to prove yet.

I am aware of this. Just pointing out discussion of the current list in terms of father sons doesn't make much senseTbf, I meant over the past 20 years. We've had a few. Gaz, Hawk, Scarlo. Arguably the best of the best those 3 alone.

You know you're missing a trick though not bringing up our academy rorts. We've got 3 of our best 22 out of academies with a 4th coming through that is arguable our best draftee from last year.I am talking about the way your flag teams were compiled. This current team has it all to prove yet.
To be honest, the last 24 hours has been such a blur i can't keep track of it allNo it doesn't. I only brought up father sons and the draft as some poster was alluding our success was due to dodgy deals and free houses![]()
This current team isn't that different from our last flag team.
Lol, do go on, because 2 draft picks out of hundreds doesn't actually qualify as in depth analysis. Especially when you are comparing it with...nothing.
Isaac Smith, Selwood, Touhy, Hawkins, Rohan are no longer on your list from that team.
Cats supporters queuing 10 deep on the rebuild thread to tell us Duncan, C Guthrie, Stanley, Parfitt, Bews are no longer in your best team. And Blicavs, Dangerfield are no longer as influential.
On average flag teams suffer attrition at 2 players per season. Yours has changed substantially more than that.
OK:
Wojcinski
Corey
Chapman
Ling
Enright
Hunt
Rooke
Kelly
Mackie
Bartel
Lonergan
Byrnes
Egan
Varcoe
Stokes
Taylor
Mumford
Menzel
Duncan
C Guthrie
Blitz
Bolded are the premiership players.
I'm sure I'm missing some as well.
If some of these opposition posters actually stopped and considered how ludicrous their accusations are that Geelong FC and only Geelong FC might be engaging in dodgy TP player deals. Until I see evidence of anything untoward occurring at Geelong FC and not elsewhere, then those posters can STFU. And that includes Richmond Flats. Instead of saying, "I suggest start your research (with Villawood)" how about providing compelling evidence instead of muckraking.

No disrespect, but it is meaningless without a comprehensive list & comparison to other clubs over the same period.
I did some comprehensive analysis a few years ago. It showed Geelong's drafting was pretty good, but not necessarily better than a few other clubs.
You seeing it yet RPCB
Just one giant cats pisstake this has turned into.
Because in reality nothing even remotely probative has surfaced that suggests impropriety.
Maybe ours is above average then?Isaac Smith, Selwood, Touhy, Hawkins, Rohan are no longer on your list from that team.

Who gives a shit about burdens of proof. This isn't a court of law; its Big Footy.Since when does the burden of proof require that it’s only illegal if “we aren’t the only ones doing it”?
If the AFL is stupid enough to appoint someone with ties to Geelong to conduct the audit....If there’s nothing to see, move on
If something is there, and the auditor is personally involved as a former employee?
What do you think will happen?
And the Cats have never tanked to get priority and top 5 draft picks, unlike so many clubs including last years' wooden spoonersMy entire reason in bringing it up was to show we've done very well in drafting players, plus father sons, to combat this cheating free houses nonsense as the reason for our success.
Yet we still made a prelim without the bulk of them, only last year.
I'd be worried as well if I were you.
If the AFL is stupid enough to appoint someone with ties to Geelong to conduct the audit....
Got to remember too, according to Caroline Wilson, this isn't an "investigation" but an "audit". The only difference between the two is that an audit is broad and an investigation is specific. So unless there is a major glaring smoking gun, this will go no where
