After all that effort, they uncovered... a flimsy rumor about Joel Selwood possibly receiving a measly $10,000. Yep, $10,000. Hardly the heist of the century. But, undeterred by the complete lack of real evidence, The Age decided to run with the story anyway, as if this minor detail was the smoking gun that would bring down this behemoth of football. Talk about reaching for a headline!
