Chances of success, club reputation, opportunity, geography have of course have never influenced a players decision to move from one club to another. Which is why stars have been lining up to go to cellar dwellers as much as contending clubs over the past 20 years (and further).I see only this. Players generally seem to change club to get a better contract and more money. Other than in the case of Geelong who miraculously have a long history of players going to the club for less money, or taking a lower contract to keep them under the salary cap.
