Geelong rorting the system

Which clubs actively recruit them?

And which clubs do not?

Geelong have shown with their actions they have no qualms recruiting olayers with drug convictions.

Other clubs have different policies. The Eagles aacked their captain and then sacked him and delisted him. Other players followed. All why the Collingwood rat pack were partying hard in Victoria but not issues there.

All facts.
WCE fan talking about other clubs and drug use is very cute

Come on man.

Smith might love the powder and cut the shit out of his arms, and Stengle have some substance abuse issues alongside him, but let’s not pretend like Cousins wasn’t a walking talking headline of bad behavior out in the public eye in WA, above and beyond pretty much every other player who had mucked up in the comp.

Geelong back themselves in to keep these players on track and out of the papers(it helps bring down the highway, no doubt).

West Coast’s hand was forced with Cousins, otherwise they’d have kept him on the books too because all clubs accept that the demographic of their players means they will almost all dabble or find trouble at some point.

Agree it does help the local paper is a Geelong-supporting one. I'll give you that.

The illicit drug use is not as widespread as it was in the mid-2000 days either. The players with a "history" have all come from other clubs.

I can't think of another comedy - ever - with writing as intelligent as that one. It's probably my favourite comedy ever. It has aged incredibly well.
It's back on free to air, forget what channel or time. I caught an episode last week, still funny as.
It's amazing how Humphrey always manipulates things to get his way.

If you look hard enough there’s a trail to probably any club.

We’ve got two good ones right now.
The hawks have a prominent one in their forward line.
Shane Mumford got caught, retired and became a coach, then got reactivated as a player again. There’s probably heaps more that I can’t think of off the top of my head.

Ah yes, the Eagles. Staunchest anti-drug club ever

If i was a West Coke fan, i'd stay quiet forever in regards to anything drug related.

Same if i was a Carlton fan in regard to anything salary cap related.

The absolute definition of throwing stones in glass houses.

And neither has anything to do with the AFL in 2025.

But we can stay silent if you would like, it means there will “only” be 15 club supporters who will call out Geelong being a dodgy club. Instead of 17.

Melbourne
Sydney
Bulldogs
Don't tell me Dusty and co weren't on stuff

When the boys club AFL and media are all partaking it's not a surprise that nothing is done.

We run everything.

As mentioned in another thread, we're getting this audit out the way so no questions are asked when we land the following players.

-JUH
-Butters
-Rowell
-Cadman
-Reid
I think we only grab one or two of these guys, we can't make it too obvious.

Why are we dodgy? Do you actually think any deals weren't checked with the AFL and signed off prior?

Do you think C Scott and the football dept are professional?

I mean compared to Carlton it's a low bar.

No dick pics coming out by our president.

Think that’s a different cheating scandal.

Our officials are highly sought after. Other clubs have poached key people, as have the AFL. Including Carlton for its CEO.

Yeah I notice he ignored the majority of my post.

When did Brian Cook leave us again?

Richmond have one of ours as well.

Because you asked me a question that I couldn’t possibly answer and then another question that is designed to fluff Geelong’s coach.

You stated the club is dodgy. What facts do you have to support that?

Does that include Brian Cook? Your current CEO.

Cook left at the end of the 2021 season, Carlton hired him at the conclusion of that same season but even for someone like Cooky trying to turn Carlton into a Geelong-esque modern day powerhouse is proving to be a monumental task.
