Cool. Keep pre occupying yourself with the past and imaginary good players Tigs will have in the futue. We wll just enjoy the now thanks. Without having to make excuses for how/why after we finished around the same position after 2023 after both being up for such a long time, one club has been so much better than the other. Staggering really. I'd be pretty upset and unhinged too to be honest.

On one hand you were such a mighty club who was only taken down by an internal conspiracy of corruption designed solely to stop you from succeeding.
Now you’re saying you succeeded only because one of your opponents choked.

Especially when you’re trying to play ‘gotcha’ with a supporter base who are just happy to continually say ‘well done you were too good for us.’

Cats have played in about 40-50 finals since 1995, and played Richmond in 4, 3 of which we lost including the Covid GF. Fact is we’ll probably play in another 40-50 finals before we have to face Richmond again in a final. Since Richmond’s demise, Cats have played in about 10 finals. Where have I complained or made any excuse for three finals Geelong lost between 5 and 8 years ago? Beaten by a better side. Happened berore and will happen again. Really couldn't give much of a f#ck about it. Won't have to invent a land of make believe to cope either.

It would be remarkably sane behaviour by your low standards if you could make up your mind, as to whether you were a juggernaut that needed stopping by everything from the rules committee to the CIA, or just a team who got lucky because Geelong choked.

I said to the Tiges fan sitting next to me in the 2017 final “Well done, your boys deserve the flag.” I was disappointed in the 2020 loss but over it in about 5 minutes having a laugh with my partner. Richmond’s success was well-earned. Your idea Geelong fans stay awake at night bitter about losing to Richmond in finals is a fantasy. So it may as well have been the case Hocking was still at the AFL now. Hilarious is the fact that the media lists amongst the chief candidates for the now vacant role, Andrew Mackie, of you guessed it, the Geelong FC.
You don't seem to be across any of this, and you are telling me to update my schtick. Meanwhile you are suggesting we should overlook 9 years of being fisted shoulder deep by umpires and officials because at the start of that period Trent Cotchin didn't get suspended for doing something nobody had been suspended for before that. Probably because we don't necessarily care about the Richmond football club. Why would we? They're currently about as relevant to us as North and WC (not at all). However we also don't appreciate Richmond supporting people claiming a rort is or has been going on or that we're cheating something. Seemingly because they don't like that we continue to win far more games of football then we lose and the downfall of us they were so wildly excited for in 2023 hasn't happened.
