How exactly are Geelong looked after by the AFL?
We don't get high draft picks and only play 10 games per year in our home city, compare this to Fremantle who play 13 games a year in their home city.
Protected species over there with fingers all through the AFL. The only club in the AFL where the head coach has a 2nd job with a major sponsor in the era of soft caps.

Looks like the AFL will turn into a two-tier comp at this stage. Equalisation has failed

All of Geelong, Hawthorn and Sydney are protected species and look-aftered. They attract big players
Collingwood has 14 players recruited from other clubs

What big players do the Hawks have?

I especially like how the last three teams the Cats play in the H&A are Essendon, North and Richmond.

Last year they played Richmond in the final round too.

Total fix up.
it's funny because you'll say that Cats get a soft draw playing dogshit teams on the run into finals, but then you'll tip Geelong to lose because of the soft run in. Make up your mind

Seriously how do you come to that conclusion where the Hawks don’t have farms/lifestyle/turn a blind eye stuff or the nepo baby factor with the northern teams ….. Hawks protected species 😂. Hawks are the last club the AFL want to do well!

I don't think your mob are protected. I do think Geelong are the AFL's choice for a Big V team to constantly be up in a national competition.

Watch Butters go to them for pick #79 and the narrative that the Cats felt sorry for him and just thought they could help him out. The AFL will sign off on it and punish Port for having too good a player and not helping him enough to find fair compensation.
the cope is incredible. AFL's choice for a Big V team? lmfao

What do the afl gain from this? We will never be as big as the truly big Victorian clubs but we will always be a reliable source of income for them with a solid supporter base. We’ve been making finals and top four for 20 years and still aren’t a big four club. What motivation do you think they have financially to make us succeed 😂😂😂

Meanwhile St Kilda, the Dogs, and North, while not especially popular and never likely to be, and Melbourne to a lesser extent, have all had prolonged periods of shitness at stages during the last 20-25 years. They too will also never be big four clubs but their scope of between when they struggle, and when they are doing well, effects the AFL’s bottom line much more. Why the hell wouldn’t they be much more concerned with them?

North will never be drawing 55,000 each week to Marvel, but they can grow significantly from drawing f**k all, so why the hell wouldn’t they be a priority? Same with the other teams I mentioned? Hell, Essendon are in the same boat

Zak Butters is a free agent, we should be able to get him without giving up any draft capital.
Patrick Dangerfield was a free agent who we had to trade for, we should have been able to keep our picks as it would have allowed us to draft Charlie Curnow.

You'll get him. No doubt about it.

They never seem to drop off except for Hawthorn between 2017-23.

Expect to see one of these teams in the Grand Final this Year again. Hawks-Swans looks like a sure bet as with 2014

You'll get the Suns vs Cats and you'll like it mister!!

😂

I'm seeing a gap between Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn and Sydney at the moment.

Recruited Burgoyne from Port, Lake from the Dogs and Hale during their 3-peat and looking at King from GC
Burgoyne, Whose body was Broken
Lake. Whose head was Broken
Hale. Who was a Journeyman when we got him..

Add Ginnivan Gibson, Impey and Amon to that list if you like. Chuck in Stewie Dew for good measure.

What we do, is turn those players in to far better ones because they buy in to the club.

Sydney are 1 game and 40% above second position now and all I can think is just how badly are we going to **** up in the Grand Final this year.

It's either going to be Geelong, Hawthorn or Brisbane. Ahhh...

Gifted an easy run home. Richmond at their cheat code ground

Kept away from the finals grounds and kept away from finals quality opponents.

How the ****k would a Collingwood fan know anything about our ground anyway? Be like expecting an American to pass judgement on test ****ing cricket. That’s before even addressing the tremendous drag factor of your already terrible posting.

We have literally the hardest fixture in the AFL this year. If we are still in it for those last three matches we have well and truly earned it.

It’s the modern colliwobbles
