Geelong to host International T20

Not interested in it having anything to do with the football club. Or just because Melbourne have a side in my example. Just proposing it as Geelong have a stadium. It also doesn't need many in it to look decent and the state has tipped in a bit to build it. Might as well be used. If the same thing existed out this way (Casey), or Ballarat/Bendigi I'd say the same for them.

Ballarat is not suitable as a T20 venue (even after the redevelopment has finished in May next year), because while the stadium will be fitted with a video scoreboard and a suitable size field complete with the base that will allow for a drop in wicket, the new light towers are only capable of 300 lux and if fully loaded with the additional 15 lights per tower (which they are not fitted with) they would only achieve 600 lux which is still some 400 lux short of the lighting required for digital night time broadcast. The ground would need to have two additional towers built or have at least an additional 72 lights installed across the roofline of the new stand and any additional stands that may be built in the future.
