Hope for Sav that he doesn't lose anymore confidence. Needs to play another year in the VFL for me, just not quite ready but will absolute be a lock for best 22 in the next couple of years.

Good changes imho
Hard to argue against them

Clark looks to be going through some second year blues & like he really could use a run in the vfl which we just don't have access to unfortunately - haven't really seen him using his speed to break from packs and his long kicking that we saw last year

Not sure if his elbow injury or now the dislocated shoulder is playing on his mind, but something seems amiss compared with pre-injury last year

terrible changes
Hard disagree. We have a good system now with defensive wingers providing run off the half back allowing Hawkins to ruck F50 and Stanley to drop in the hole defensively. It worked very well against Port and Saints, we need to keep playing this way against WBD and Rich to see if it stacks up for finals.

Atkins cant get a touch up forward so they put him in the mids. Still cant get more then 10 touches even as a mid. we struggled big time in the mids.

supporters blame forwards instead.

mc listens to big footy. Drops sav instead of atkins.

Pretty sure heaps of people have called for Atkins to be dropped as well, so if the MC does listen to Big Footy, they weren't listening that closely...

1 key forward and about 10 defenders in the side. Strange mix.

Scarlett may have had some influence in the selections today.

No Jenkins in this lineup means what for his future?

um look at the past 5 finals campaigns. It doesnt stack up in finals.

who the hell are the MC? Can we name names? They must do nothing but read big footy?

what was the big problem with previous years campaigns? Too slow. too many defenders resulting in us playing defenders up forward or on a wing who get slaughtered in finals.

we are repeating the same mistakes year after year.

The MC is pretty easy to find - go to the club website and look up the coaches

And I'm guessing you didn't watch our 3 games against North, Saints & Port where we played with pretty much this team structure and it worked pretty fine

And if you're wanting to include Blicavs & Tuohy as defenders then it's a disservice to their current roles in the team - Tuohy has been playing as an attacking wing option since the WA hub, rarely playing as an out & out defender for a while now

As for Blicavs, he's playing as a wing/ruck, and with his role in our midfield, at times we're seeing Stanley take centre bounces before going forward and Blicavs rucking around the ground

A structure that's worked well since being in the Qld hub and glad we've gone back to it

If they listened to bigfooty, half the team would have been dropped across the season and we'd be playing with like 10 players only

Means he'll play a scratch match this weekend as the coach said in his presser.

After that who knows, maybe play him after the buy and build into finals

I would have played Jenkins now we are running out of games to sort out structure.

Did you watch the 2019 Prelim? It stacked up with no Hawkins to kick to and no Duncan to play that wing role you say doesn't work (how does that work?), as well as an injured guthrie who couldn't tag D. Martin in the 2nd half (who got off the chain in the 2nd half). Our biggest issue was letting Lynch off the chain, but our defensive structure has improved and I'd back us in to have him covered more easily now with how our wingers drop back into the hole with Stanley, blocking up the space. Our disposal has also improved, we're much less prone to turnovers (especially in dangerous spots), and we're the only team to not concede a run of 6+ goals in a game (6 or more unanswered goals)

What does it mean for the finals, double team Tom.
I'm certain we will never learn
Anyway it is what it is.

Well you could be right we will go into the finals with same side just maybe Kelly gone Steven in

Atkins call is pretty divided. Everyone piled onto sav last week despite rohan doing just as bad and it being his first game back from injury.

The Sav call was spot on. We kicked 41 goals in 3 games without Sav, including consecutive weeks of 14 goals against the Saints and Port who were 2nd and 1st on the ladder consecutively when we played them, and 100 in 10 games with him in the side.
