The Hawks Crows game is on WIN at the moment live against the gate which is a surprise.

My tv guide has a game from Telstra Dome starting at 8:30pm on southern cross. I hope they have got that wrong and it is actually the Geelong game - surely they wouldn't have a challenge game at the dome on a sat night? Not long until I find out I guess.

Are you up north in Queensland?

26 man squad according to afl.com.

Batchelor and Stokes to debut and Slade is playing his first game in nearly 2 years.

Chapman and Sheringham the two to miss out.

Nah mate, I'm in Canberra.

Ten is definitely carrying the Geelong game. That's what we're getting at 11:30pm. I'd say it'd be the same on southern cross.

Thanks for the score update. How they looking?

My bad.. North are actually on 25 points not 28!

KK looks to have the yips back again 2, sprayed one out of bounds on the full.. we've had alot of posession of the ball, cant just convert at the moment.

Kingsley handballs to Bartel in the goal square and we've added one more finally.. North has one more too this quarter. Getting ALOT of the ball now, and really having trouble on the half forward line..

Kingsley now has a shot and......

hits the post

I'm stuffed if I know why the coach won't let Nathan lead out of the square.

KK has missed from 30m out and also hit the post......for gods sake give the kid a go and let's see if he's as good as we think. He's lost when he plays out at CHF. Even Lonergan had a crack at playing out of the square in the first qtr.

I can only guess that Bomber is not revealing his hand this early in the year.

Stokes looks a likely type - more steady ball handler than Byrnes (the turnover kid)

Egan is really looking the goods.

Goalkickers:

G Ablett, Bartel, Ling and Lonergan 1 each.. (is this soccer or AFL?!?)

Yeah we gotta try something new for the second half. North are re-bounding out of their defensive 50 way too easily. Umpiring seems to be going our way tho, which is a nice change from last weeks debacle of 32-18!

This game is so bad it's comical. Must be the weather...I hope.

The umpiring again has been rather baffling at times.

Agree that Stokes is looking pretty good so far, and Egan is impressive, pushing for a certainty in our best 22.

Ordinary effort so far.

Forward entries have been fairly mediocre on both parts - the delivery and the leading. With trying to pinpoint specific targets, there's been too many passes either going too direct to the face when they need to be in front of the leading player, or it's gone straight over the top. Sloppy and untidy, if anything.

The blokes leading aren't doing alot to help matters either. Either commit to lead strongly, or don't lead at all. Some weak efforts of 15m bursts before doubling back.

Kane's looking much better. Hardly starring, but his general timing of runs, disposal, and reading of play is much better than previous. It's a step up.

Prismall looks like he's getting the hang of things.

Domsy's been a see-saw. Had a few nice leads early on, highlighted with a strong, contested, overhead mark during the first term, but his hands have been slippery, and his disposal sloppy (who's isn't right now?) e'er since.

North gets a super goal, Kingsley looks like he may have done a hamstring and Ablett misses a shot on goal..

its all happening here at Cairns

Finally an awesome snap by Milburn and we're 2 points adrift

AND A SUPER GOAL BY BYRNES.. n we've hit the front!

Are Malcolm Blights 'I-know-everything-and-I-am-the-funniest-man-alive' comments annoying the ******** out of anyone else? Or is it just me?

These camera angles suck too. Bad night.

Great super goal to Byrnes after a goal from Milburn.

I sincerely hope these are rookie umpires. Enright broke free from a pack with the ball only for an umpire to call him back for a Geelong free-kick, then another umpire who was 20m away called a Roos free-kick. The result, a ball up. What?

But is there really such thing as an expert ump??

Two goal turn around that was  "Sanderson" has to do better next time.

And Geelong 58 to North 54, 3-quarter time

And KK has not done his hamstring.. just a strain.

********. Rooke down with not long left. Absolutely in orbit. Not looking good at all. And not looking good for my brothers Financial Management project at uni which he is doing with Rooke and Scott Thompson.

This is actually the worst umpiring I've ever seen. Some guy just came directly with the flight straight into Nathan, and no free given. Joke.
