Yup...

its that time of year again when Richmond fans want to pretend that we have a rivalry ( we really don't )
that we cant beat them at their home ground ( we can and have )
that we have to play our home game at their home ground ( we wont as Uncle Steve will take care of that for us )
and that we have to engage their bullshit banter tantrums - we wont be as i've been reliably informed its our board and we can do what we want here within reason and steering clear of that garbage is our prerogative which for the Tiger fans reading this means just like Dimma picked another woman to shag - we can pick who to ignore - and its you lot so sod off and perhaps the time would be better spent getting the site to change other versions of your team name as its too much for you to read given your delicate sensibilities and all.

But all that aside, we are due to play them this coming weekend.

Hard to make too many changes to the side that flogged the Dockers in Freo in the wet on a 5 day turnaround - but perhaps Rohan back in?
We will need to be careful as its a 9 day break and that constitutes a bye - but chances after their Reiwoldts 300th the Tuggers will be so Fox replayed out that they wont even show up down the highway so it might just be a forfeit which lets be honest is about the same ranking as they've put up this month anyway.

Will Rohan be back in for Sav although it was Sav's best game for a while IMO. Surely Dahl goes again after his effort last week. More players than best 22 spots right now.

250 games for Higgins - no mean feat so good for him.
Sav 50 games as well - need to keep pumping them into him as well IMO - he’s gonna click big time at some point ..... I hope.. but you can see the flashes getting bigger and longer...

So lets get the 4 points, put the campaigners back in 9th and roll onto next week.

Given they did win V Brissy - they are back in the 8 - well done to them and lets hope that Dusty is ok after being sent to hospital. No one wants to see that.

Go Catters

Their backs are well and truly against the wall here. We need to get the job done to minimise the chance of meeting them in the finals. You just can't count them out until they're mathematically out of the finals. Would be lovely to send them packing from GMHBA - give them a taste of their own medicine with regards to a true opposition home ground.
I don't think we've had a genuine flag chance like this in years. This is the year we should be winning the GF. This game is step one.

Same changes for me. Either Tuohy or Smith get the rest this week.

This.

They appeared to re-discover some of their manic tackling mojo the other night, and will bring it against us.

That said, they won't have Dusty to cut us up, and it would be poetic if we could inflict the coup d'etat.

Only two gamed scheduled for the G next week I can't see Geelong and Richmond being shifted.
But the ONLY reason we get a "home" game v Tigers at the G is to allow for crowds, and with zero crowds this week, it MUST be our home game at Geelong, unless Geelong is a red zone. Greater Geelong is.

We can’t get back the 2020 flag but we absolutely can put the sword in and end their run at this point.*

*even if not quite mathematically

So true...we must knock them out of finals.

They will use the mcg deal, requiring a certain number of games to be played there, as an excuse to keep it there.

It won’t be down here. The games only there to maximise crowds, yet no crowds and they will leave it there. Afl is a joke

The only thing to do is to be amused by the mental gymnastics that will be employed to justify it.

Why are people wanting to rest Tuohy this week? we are only 5 weeks out of the bye and he's in a little purple patch and enjoying his footy.

What he said 👇

We have an old list, vfl immediate future is up in the air, we must keep the oldies fresh and the youngies semi active.
