It had to happen at some point....

The GF rematch

We are coming off a solid underperformance at the SCG - going down by 2 points.

The Tiggers are coming off a won V the top of the table Wooofers.

We are a different team to the GF squad, better or worse still to be determined. We certainly will need the win and the Tiggers gamestyle is not one we've dealt with well over the journey of late - granted we have been on top of it but not able to maintain it to the end.

We've got a solid injury list that is mounting, but thats why you have depth and we are going to test it.

Miers is probably out with the ankle, Kolo still out and MOC will be too. The MOC v Dusty game would have been interesting to see. You learn the most against the best.

Several of our 22 were shabby V the Swans, and may be breaking the dew as a result of it .

Tiggers will be the overwhelming favourites going into this on their dung heap

Will be real test for us.

Not really. We dominated most areas and played well enough to win.
We underperformed in goal accuracy and that’s about it.

Feel we need to be really competitive in this one (lose by no more than 2-3 goals if not win), because if we get to the finals (and yes, that's an "if" right now) and have to face them yet again, the monkey on the back is going to be huge.

We do get another crack at them rd19 that will tell us more.

We seem to be IN every game.
Wonder how this one pans out. Dusty will be hungry as. We have no MOC, no Danger, no Kolo- who gets him? Parfitt?
Loving Henry- he may get his most challenging task yet.

Dusty has been playing with a foot injury and hasn’t torn a game apart since round 3. Whether or not he’s recovered from the injury over the past week, we’ll find out on Friday.

Cotchin, Prestia and Lambert will all be missing regardless.

Also got smashed in the ruck and midfield. We went a good part of one quarter without a single entry into our F50.

They worked harder than us, and Richmond work even harder again. We haven't been able to deal with that for some time now.

I'm semi-happy Tigers beat Bulldogs as another loss would have made them even hungrier and determined to turn the tide. Still, my confidence going into this game is 6/10. Forget Dusty (it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play). Shai Bolton is the man to stop.

We gave Sydney so much space for 2 and a bit quarters we had players not even in the same post code as their opponents on a smallish ground,we conceded kick ins as far out as the 50mtr line to free players,we need accountability as a non negotiable this week,if you get beaten at a contest so be it but make a bloody contest of it,no good hanging 7 or 8 mtrs off the Tigers waiting for a mistake it won't come.

With Miers subbed out of the game with a lower leg injury (ice on the back of the leg) he's surely in some doubt for Friday night. Then it's a case of what to do with those who didn't look up to it on Friday night, such as Stanley who was benched for the bulk of the last quarter including the last 12 minutes - was his carrying an injury or niggle, or had the coaches had enough of his efforts on the night & decided he would do less damage on the bench? Whether it was injury or form concerns, would be thinking that puts him in some doubt also

Outs: Miers (injury) & Stanley (injury/omitted/whatever)
Ins: Higgins & Fort

Not sure Merrick will be right to go after missing just 1 week with a hamstring injury, while Kolodjashnij's expected time out seemed a bit unknown but if right to go would expect him to come straight back into the side

When was the last time we beat Richmond at G? I cant remember.

If Richmond bring their super high pressure game and play to their best , we have not yet found a way to beat it.

Up to the team to find a way to change the story.

Smashed them there by 11 goals in 2019, though from memory the Tigers had a few out at the time.

Round 12 2019 - 16.8 104 def 5.7 37

That was after going goalless in the first quarter and entering that break down 0.2 2 to 2.1 13
