Geelong Vs Melbourne

I only bag those players who's efforts are detrimental to the efforts of the team as a whole. If Ling actually did something worth supporting, then I'd support him, but until then, I'll bag him.

By the way, judging by your post, you sound like you are on of the fans who sit in the Brownlow Stand and cheer the team off after every game, regardless of whether they win by 9 goals, lose by 9 goals or lose after conceding a 9 goal lead.
Dont think so mate im the one in the outer drinking piss, but i dont bag the players. Can u do any better? doubt it. I bet u praise them though when they win or play well

so was Melbourne undermanned?

The squad announced on thursday was close to full, about 80% full. Not sure about late changes.

Probably the only ones that were a good Rd1 chance that missed were Max,Harley,Jr,J Hunt,Stokes & Kelly. That's assuming everyone named in the squad played today.

NAB Challenge: Cats outgun undermanned Dees
4:39:00 PM Sat 17 March, 2007 www.afl.com.au

Cameron Mooney kicked four second-half goals as Geelong rounded off their pre-season schedule with a 25-point NAB Challenge victory over Melbourne at Skilled Stadium today. The Cats led throughout the match and would have won by more if not for inaccuracy in front of goal during a low-scoring first half. The home side was well-served by midfielders Jimmy Bartel and David Wojcinski, while Mooney was the Cats' leading goalscorer with four in the 11.13 (79) to 7.12 (54) victory. Melbourne's better players included Travis Johnstone, Daniel Ward and Nathan Jones. Russell Robertson kicked three goals for the Demons in an entertaining battle with Andrew Mackie. Melbourne plays St Kilda in the season opener on March 30, while Geelong's first round opponents are the Western Bulldogs.

we had close to full but the players missing are our key players.. much the same as Melbourne..

good pre-season then 3-1, only thing is the injuries and suspension...
i don't think there was anything injury wise that has made our season look doomed unless Ablett does have O.P

Stokes did play.

Backline: Scarlett solid, held Neitz to one goal that shouldn't have even happened due to Neitz holding Scarlett in the marking contest, Neitz got a free when the ball fell to ground. Thought Egan was solid at CHB, although for some reason he continues to take the hard marks and make the easy ones look hard. Mackie tried in across half back and deep in defence and did okay. D. Johnson again had a good game.

Mids: Prismall and Selwood very good, both should play round 1. As should Tenace, who played well also. Ling better improve quickly otherwise he'll get dropped. Didn't see much of Corey in the second half. King not sighted in the second half, injured?? Also thought Wocjinski played well in patches.

Forwards: Mooney solid in the second half, Ottens missed three set shots from the same part of the ground. Gardiner again good, he will play round one. I have to say that even though Djerkurra and Varcoe didn't do much with the ball their defensive efforts against Melbourne defenders coming out of the backline was outstanding, really put them under pressure and made the next possession down the ground more 50/50.

Hawkins kicked 3 or 4 goals (I think. I didn't see the whole match but I saw him kick at least 3) in the VFL for anyone interested...which we be most Geelong supporters.

I assuming you're being sarcastic?
It wasn't a bad crowd for what i expected considering the lack of promotion and it only being a practice match....not many Melbourne supporters there.
