Really, yet Scott does it.Externally Geelong officials aren't going to publicly complain about the unfairness of forcing the team that finished at the top of the table to play in what is essentially at the opponent's home ground as it could come across as having a defeatist attitude and demoralise the playing group (i.e. have no faith they can beat Collingwood) before the ball has been bounced. Internally, like the average supporter, I don't think they're over joyed about giving the Magpies this much of an advantage when they don't deserve it.
And as I said previously it's not like it's going to change anytime soon with 9 Victorian clubs in Melbourne all in full agreement, against one rural club, that they don't want to come down and play at Kardinia Park for a final in September, that suits those 9 Melbourne clubs just fine.
As as supporter I'm not under any constraints to express my displeasure at this joke of 'rule' that makes no sense nor is it fair, whereas as someone that works at the club would have to take other factors into consideration. And that means that realistically this situation won't be changing this month or any time soon so there's no benefit in publicly complaining about it.
Or maybe you are wrong.
