Completely different game at the g, geelong have no fears of the g obviously however the difference in us playing on a skinny kardinia park compared to the mcg is huge. It's gonna be a very hot contest.

they lost a player in the first quarter and were down rotations on the bench. Still managed to come back and even up the game before running out of gas in the last quarter.
Cockatoo is as inconsistent and over hyped as they come. Barely best 22 so stop using him as a means to bolster your injury list agenda.
Sorry the Hawks didn't make it, champ.

Really looking forward to this game, surely the Tiges are due?

Loser probably out in straight sets, the winner will be premiership favourites.

Richmond played games against the final top 4 x 4 times, we did it 5. Richmond played against the bottom 4 x 9 times, we did it 6 - so yeah, not impressed with their result or better percentage under those circumstances - we did it the hard way and still finished on top. Just like we will beat them in our home game, even though the AFL has given Richmond a hand out home ground final that they don't deserve.
sorry did you expect a team that finished 13th last year to have the same draw as a team that finished 2nd? We played who we were scheduled to play and finished 3rd when we were expected to be bottom 4, sorry to disappoint you. Hope you'll forgive us. :drunk:

I hope the bye is soon realized for what it is. Completely destroys the outcome of what would've been a different flag winner.

For example Geelong are in form. We want to play Richmond in 4-5 days and cement our spot in the Prelim. Now it's almost 2 weeks away with the break refreshing the teams current forms completely. Only reason I'm not furious is it also helps us get Selwood back.. this time.

So if Geelong win the GF we can say they never deserved it and the only reason they won is because of the bye.

Who am I kidding. Geelong are no shot at winning it either way

Do i sense a little excuse there just in case you lose?
I also think it is home state, not home ground, maybe wrong.
Not at all - I don't fear Richmond - just pointing out that Richmond DID have a soft draw, so comparing our relative finishes is not valid. Had Richmond played our draw and we theirs, I am very confident we would have finished the season well clear on top, and Richmond would have struggled to make the 8. We are a better side on all lines.

Think we would rather play you this week as well champ, we have a full list and are coming off a 100 and 44 pt win. However the bye is in place so teams just have to deal with it as best they can.

No, just responding to the comment made that Richmond final season results were comparable to ours. They weren't.

Slipped through? Haha. Ok I'll bite. Lost 3 games in a row by under a kick with 2 of them in the last min of the game. At the same time cats won every close game including winning 2 when their opponent missed easy shots with secs remaining. All this and still finishing 2 points off top position. See you in 2 weeks.
Nah he's right bro. We lucked our way through the whole season to finish half a game of top. :drunk:

People are getting carried away with the Tigers recent form, they beat the shocking and deplorable Suns and the Dockers couldn't get any worse. The Saints only had the "Roo" incentive going for them while the Tigers had a home final at stake! Sure beats going to Adelaide doesn't it? The Cats have been pretty ordinary in September recently, while they ARE Richmond's bogey side. I doubt Selwood will be back for it, but a couple of other's will benefit from the BYE i guess. Both sides are very close IMO.

Unfortunately, unless Scott has come up with some genius in the last 2 months, then Geelong as a club don't deal with them well. It shits me to tears. They can have an off season break of 5-6 months and win most of the time in the first round, but have a week off during the season and they're ******* hopeless.

Fingers crossed they've worked something out since the last bye, I'm not too hopeful though. Geelong may still be good enough to win on class alone, but again it will throw up the problem of having another week off before the prelim.

Unless they show me something completely different this time, dare I say it, I'd almost prefer them to lose the first week to give themselves the best chance of winning it.
