Hi people,

I am a first time writer (but long time reader) on this board. My dad used to play for Geelong West VFA. We moved up to Qld about 15 years ago. My questions are these:

1. Does the VFA still exsist?
2. Does Geelong West still exsist?
3. Is there a website?

I know that this might be the wrong board. He always rates himself and I actually want to find out if he was any good. His name is Bruce Proud and he would have played in the late 60's early 70's (I think!)

1. The VFA is now known as the VFL
2. It does, but not in the VFA/VFL.They're now known as Geelong West-St Peters and they play in the Geelong Football League [GFL].
It's the club Peter Riccardi played at.

Im not trolling ,just happen to see the Geelong West subject pop up and i cant help but wondering why Geelong West had Red and White Colours - I automaticly would have thought they would have worn the hoops in Navy blue and white?
Does their home ground exist? if so where was it? :) :)

As far as I know they had no affiliation with the Geelong Football Club so there was no reason for them to wear blue and white hoops.

Their home ground still exists and is now used as the home ground for Geelong West-St Peter's in the Geelong Football League.
