I just logged into afl.com.au after going, "Oh ********! Footy's On!" - and when I opened the stats page what an awful surprise. Blake, Thurley, Rahilly, all playing - and Ling, King and Rooke out! What does our injury list look like?

King - Continually injured, playing impotent
Rooke - ???
Ling - ???
Ottens - Week to week proposition
Playfair - Busted Jaw, few more weeks
Enright - Knee, few more more weeks
Harley - Recurring Key Positionitis - on/off, longterm
McCarthy - Damned shoulder, few more weeks
S.Johnson - Ronnie Burns/Paul Lynch Syndrome - forever
D.Johnson - Hamstring - SCHNAP! -

Nine of those are in our best team. Ridiculous.

So, where's the magic pill we can use to make our players actually fit? This is getting beyond ridiculous. Hope we get some big ins next week, we'll be stuffed otherwise.

If we're including McCarthy, then Mackie should be there.
Seriously, when I saw our team last night, it made me think of the Carlton match in rd2 last year, in which we were similarly pumped.
Jeez, you'd want to have a few of those guys back this week for Port

EDIT - Just saw this on RealFooty...

Cats coach Mark Thompson was also ruing a bout of the flu that struck Cameron Mooney, Matthew Scarlett, Charlie Gardiner and Shannon Byrnes.
So it wasn't just Scarlo, or maybe he just had it the worst.
Didn't they say he had gastro on Foxtel?

Please god dont let the flu go through the whole club. If Mooney, gardiner and Byrnes all have the flu along with Scarlo and Ling, how many more players can we afford to lose? NONE! Who is due to come back this week? SJ and DJ would be close wouldnt they, along with Ottens ling and king?

And what happened to Rooke?

I read on the net somewhere that Brent Prismall was to be flown up to Sydney to cover scarlo but couldnt get there in time, so Scarlo played :S
And is it possible that Brad Ottens has a mild case of Ostitis pubis? He has been out for a long time with a 'sore groin'. He worked pretty hard during the preseason to earn respect and show his worth, are we now seeing the effects of this?

How many talls do we have left in the scoobies? If anyone else goes down, we might be seeing the name N.Ablett a bit prematurely. Despite the fact that I would love to see him play, here's hoping he doesn't get brought up before he's ready. Being forced into the team could cost all the hard work we did to keep the hype down.

Ablett & Spencer were the only real two talls that played in the 2s today. #47 rucked, no idea who he is
