What a cute and original name. Gosh how nice. And people wonder why Bomber supporters are accused of being cocky, then complaining that everyone is so nasty wasty to them just because they're so goody woody.

Enjoy it while you can because when you fall then you will have to suffer wuffer nasty wasty people saying truly ruly awful things about Hirdy Wirdy and Lloydy Woydy. Will you still be such a smug little bug then HMMMM

I think the kid Corey will turn out a very good player, as well theres a guy by the name of Brent Cowell was on the rookie list last year, won the St Kilda magoos B & F in 99, if there's anyone who is a bit closer to the club cold they tell me what's happening with him? Looked a damn good player the few games I saw this year. Hopefully we'll make the finals again, be nice to win one though... who knows, a bit of luck on the right days and we could put the wind up a couple of teams.Unfortunately, can't see anyone getting past Essendon again, barring injuries etc

Geelong's forward line lacks classy, strong marking forwards, who can kick goals consistently. And that fact alone is the reason why I don't believe they will make the 8 next year.

White is the best forward without doubt. Moves well and always provides an option, but is a flanker and isn't renown for kicking lots of goals. If he had a reliable full forward to kick to, then the Cats could be a whole different kettle of fish for opponents. Sure they have good crumbers with the likes of Burns, Houlihan and Snell, but they can't be relied upon to kick the winning score every week. Bizzel, while a classy flanker, is far too small to be expected to play full forward. Mensch is far too slow as well, even withstanding the fact that he puts in every now and then.

Their forward front lacks structure, wherein it's more of a bits and pieces bunch, that looks to spread the load of goals each week to win. Find a reliable full forward and they could be a threat...perhaps try Graham more regularly, but that deprives the backline, which is adequate at best.

Geelong to me, just lack a key player or two at both ends of the ground to be a threat. Sure they have some great kids in Spriggs and Clarke to come through, but essentially lack key position players.

As an Essendon supporter, I see the cats as a good competitive side, but there are several teams who are as good or better. All things being equal with luck and other factors next year, I see the Cats just finishing around the fringe of the 8...probably 9th.

Mitchell White must recapture his All Australian form, if they are to make the 8.

burns, ling, bizzel, mensch, white etc
its a pretty strong forward line, but how often
consistancy is a major problem, mensch and burns especially
bizzel and ling needs another year or two to be potent and dangerous forwards
as for white, we will just have to wait and see

donsrtop, does that response from peoplewonderwhy remind you of a collingwood supporter, cant handle a joke, and jumps straight down the throat at someone who may dare try to say anything about the club

Anyside with a player like Ronnie Burns running around in it as its main forward line strike power has something to worry about.

White could be the answer, hes like a low rent James Hird. He really can play at an elite level, thing is, will he though?

The Mooneys are both to lumbering, similar to the Roccas in that can you afford to play both in the same forward line. Throw in Mensch and its a slow slow forward set up.

One bloke i do like the look of is Ling. Seems to lead well and strong hands. Maybe he might be the one to step up and take that FF spot. Shame that Lynch never got his hammies right, had tons of potential that kid.

Agent 86,

I can tell you that there were a lot of saints supporters that were very angry when Cowell was delisted. Especially considering that he was playing so well in the reserves that many of us thought he deserved a senior berth.

It seems like he had a good year for the Geelong VFL reserve side. We have retained a couple of promising rookies on our rookie list for another year and I hope that Geelong does the same with Brent.

gocatsgo - Thats a bit of a risk putting White there at full forward. I'd put Mensch at full forward, because from what I've seen, he's got a much stronger overhead mark.
