Allowing for the possibility of exaggeration borne of a sense of grievance, and differing perceptions and all that, Robinson seemed pretty convincing and genuine to me on the whole (whereas when Dank was interviewed, just about every phrase screamed, "I'm a shonk" - never trust anyone who talks about himself in the third person!).

St James of Windy Hill is surely done. Surely.

Was sort of leaning towards Hirdy's side of the story till I saw Weapon crying about his kids. Oh, and of course when he said that it was his biggest mistake he left Geelong and that it was a great football club :p

But seriously, if Hird has lied about the injections he took, (although perfectly legal), who knows what else he lied about.

Dank and that Steve bodybuilder guy who was a good friend of Hird's and supplied drugs to Collingwood need to back Robinson up.

McVeigh is certainly one loyal worshipper, isn't he?
he is a douchebag...he knows what they took, he doesnt know what they took, he knows what they took. it sounds like he doesnt really know anymore than his good buddy has told him, which is fair enough, but dont blast people like reimers for having a different view you c0ckhead.

They just flashed up this tweet from Bundy:

ROFL! :D
i laughed out loud when that popped up on the screen:D.

Putting aside my allegiance to the Cats, I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who could tell what Dean Robinson was about to say when he said "My biggest mistake was leaving the Geelong Football Club".

There was something about that, it just made me think, after nearly 50 years of achieving so little after originally a stalwart of the game's inception in its first 100 years, the small town club is viewed in such high honour during dark times like this.

Seconds after that was said, a mate of mine who is SUCH a massive Essendon supporter he made his son a Bombers member the day he was born, he sent me this sincere SMS:
"Geelong, they are the BEST since 2007"

Don't know if this has been said... but the fact that in those Hird texts he doesn't name Geelong as a potential 'doping' team says volumes... considering he would know first hand from Bomber if that had happened. If we were, Bomber would have told him and Hird would have mentioned us directly in those texts.

If Geelong was ever doing anything illegal or covert Hird would be trying to emulate us, and be using Bomber as his insight... but this isn't the case.

They were chasing the high performance programs like the 'perceived' ones at Hawthorn, Collingwood and West Coast. Not Geelong.

And of these teams, which ISN'T represented at the NY Junket?
Geelong!
That junket seems more and more like a get out of dodge trip by the big Melbourne Boyz Club.

i would say they're linked (ie being an idiot to be james turds mouthpiece) :D.
Not a Hird fan then forss.

Seriously. I thought McVeigh spoke very well. But it was from an extremely biased perspective and he clearly had no first hand knowledge of many of the allegations made by Robinson.

One of the comments that concerned me toward the end was by Richard Ings who intimated that we shouldn't expect the ASADA report to answer all the questions being posed. Let's hope the key questions are at least resolved as I don't think anyone wants the saga to be further protracted.

good player and seems like a nice enough guy....but on the flip side he has lied before and appears to absolve himself of any responsibility. and all his media darling mates rally behind him like he is the final prophet.

Really painful interview.
Can understand how broken and cheated DR feels, possibly wrongful dismissal elements,in his mind, but Essendon's legally fragranced reply suggests he is responding to being past history, and feeling aggrieved that though he has erred, the same punishment does not apply to Hirdy. I recall late 2012, all Essendon's soft tissue injuries were blamed on THE WEAPON. Bizarre it has turned into this.
How did we feel when Geelong sacked( Loris Bertolacci- ? spelling) several years ago, and he wanted to take legal action? Totally different scenario, but the point being, there are the multiple sides to every dispute. Seems this is going to drag on for some time yet.
At least until the end of rd 23?

Of course there are many sides to these things. You can't imagine how many times I've heard seemingly independent witnesses at the scene of an accident give entirely different accounts of what they genuinely believed occurred.

We very quickly counter sued Loris. All went very quiet following that.

There are 3 sides to every story -Yours -Theirs-And the Truth

Hird has just been just so naive-its mindboggling-other coaches must be shaking their head in disbelief.

This Essendon mess will get resolved eventually -but that Charter bloke could drop a bombshell in 3 or 5 or 10 years time -which could totally discredit the game or an individual club or clubs

100% correct. With Bomber and Robinson at Essendon, Hird, Dank and co would have a total breakdown of everything we did. The fact Hird never mentioned us in any of his texts says, to me, that whatever our training or supplement regimes were when Robinson was at the club are a complete non-story.
