Got the interview on now. Robinson: "My biggest mistake was leaving Geelong Football Club. Because they are a great football club."

How 100% correct is the clubs theme song -we are Geelong the greatest team of all

Been reading an article in The Sydney Morning Herald -about the the life and times of Darryn Cresswell -hes wrote a book -Crezza -went to jail -now released -became a hopeless gambling addict -forged some property documents and ended up in the can

HIS BIGGEST REGRET -you guessed it -leaving his coaching job at Geelong -his wife hated living there -so took an assistant role at Brisbane -under Mathews -who wouldnt delegate -all he did was move witches hats -became bored -thus turned to gambling (with dire consequences) to ease his boredom

Peter Jackson -on the couch -on Monday night -theres 2 great clubs Geelong and Sydney-who we should try and emulate

Richmond -the lost years on Sunday night -Barry Richardson -and Walls -OH Geelong there a great club -theve done it the right way -got the right model for success

We are Geelong the GREATEST TEAM OF ALL

Regardless of the findings, if Essendon win a flag with this crop of players it will have * next to it. Kudos to Zaharakis too.
Agree on Zaharakis, pretty ballsy to say to Hird etc I'm not buying into all this. Still given the extent of the injections its more surprising that he was the only one to say no.

Anyone else disappointed in Ling last night? Thought he was pretty weak TBH. Not something I would have expected from him, but he is in a difficult situation as a representative of the broadcaster of the AFL and also the unofficial GFC spokesperson

If he didn't want to be a part of it he shouldn't have gone on the panel and found a reason to defer. Because I bet Tom Harley ran a mile from it

On SEN they reckon Robinson got paid $120,000 for the interview.....could that be right
How much revenue do you think C7 would have made in ad sales last night?? I'd say Robinson was probably under paid!!

Very interesting that 5 hours of interview was boiled down to not much. My guess is there is a lot more to come out

I really dont think Channel 7 gave a toss about how much they made or lost last night, it was always going to be chicken feed in the bigger picture.

Channel 7 has put a huge amount into the AFL and does not want to see that investment eroded by the competition being hamstrung, they stand to lose 10's of millions at least if the AFL come down hard on Essendon. So we had a last night, a show which seemingly damaged the AFL image, but didn't really. There was no significant revelations which was hardly surprising as they got Luke 'I just want to be your friend' Darcy to do the interview, then they edited out 80% of the interview, then they had an 'expert' panel that consisted of Hird apologists and no investigative reporters capable of real analysis. Robinson didn't exactly come out of it smelling of roses. Channel 7 want this story to go away so bad, but they can't ignore it, hence last night.

That was villainous speculation on SEN, Bartlett claiming off the top of his head Robinson was paid $120,000, or something like that as he said, just a damn little stirrer engaging in smearing the guy intentionally.
That sort of crap just shows such media bias to begin with, you wonder is it really worth listening to these enfranchised people.

Im waiting for the AFL to state the bleeding obvious

That Rossy Lyon is now a premiership coach -and that the Cats have got 4 glorious (and clean) premierships in this great era .

2007 - Geelong
2008 - Geelong
2009 - Geelong
2010 - St.Kilda
2011 - Geelong
2012 - Sydney
2013 - Geelong

You're right, it does look much better!

I think you summed it up beautifully to be honest. I think the interview just muddied the waters even more rather than shedding any new light on what really happened. We may never know what really happened as the ASADA report will only address that which it can prove. Not the conjecture and back room gossip that we read in the press.

I thought Ling was good. Stuck up for the club, in a not so obvious way: "We had the weapon for strength and a seperate guy for cardio (forgot name). Thats why we didn't get soft tissue injuries in the 2nd half of the year, like Essendon"

Funny you mention media bias.... bombers fans are saying the exact same thing, but seeing it the exact opposite way

Well isn't it fantastic that we had Ling sticking up for Geelong, McVeigh sticking up for Essendon, Darcy sticking up for Eddie McGuire, Matthews sticking up for the coaching fraternity, and Bruce sticking up for Channel 7's interests .......

All sounds real cosy like

Totally agree. Except for the part about networks not caring about money. They always care about money

But, yes, there was a bigger picture for C7 and it was clear from the panel that everyone except Stevens was there in full combat gear to conduct Operation "COVER ASS"

SEN is amazing at this in the mornings. After the weapon's interview they are all like "we've talked about this enough" you watch the second something pops up that might help Essendon's case it's all we will hear about for days.
