Gehrig to Collingwood

Fraser Gehrig will be playing at Collingwood in season 2001. He has been seen around the club on numerous occassions in the last two weeks. While he may be weighing up his options, how many times do you need to see the place?

There are numerous ways he could be traded to the Pies but the most likely involves a three way swap with Hawthorn. This means : Fraser Gehrig to Collingwood, Daniel Chick to West Coast, Paul Williams to Hawthorn.

That is the big talk of the moment! You'll see I was right when it comes true.

Also look for a ruckman to be joining Collingwood, with the Pies keen on Mark Porter of Carlton and Shaun Rehn of Adelaide.

And if a suitable trade is not found, he has indicated that he is more than willing to nominate for the pre-season draft and be drafted by St Kilda with our first pick.

Stuff Williams, we dont want him (not in that deal anyway). sainter im more than happy for Gehrig to lob at Linton st and the Eagles get nothing for him. I seem to remember them trying to do the same thing to the Hawks with Bucky way back in 87. Also it means the Chick would be the next best option, and you reckon he would nominate for the draft if the 2nd choice available was Collingwood? I dont think so.

Chick would be the hottest property around this year and a much better choice than Gehrig

He was interviewed on the radio after the game and it sounds like he's 50-50 at the moment. Credit to him that he's still giving 110% for Hawthorn and even if he goes we'll still remember Chick 2000 for a long time !

PS after Thommo's display against the 'all australian' ruckman do we really need a ruckman or a full forward ? Could Dermie deliver on his commet that he could make a footballer out of Saverio ? Or could Dicko do a good Job there ? Or perhaps Croady and Dutchie rotating FF to CHF

Should Salomon finish his career at FF ? How ironic would that be ?
