Bottom 4 now absolute lock. Best result they can hope for is 15th. Imagine finishing bottom 4 and first draft pick is going to be 35. Sickening.
Yeah its a 1st for our game I think, we are the 1st club to be laughed at in regards to trading future picks lol

You misunderstand me. There's no point coming 9th

The league is even we are not miles adrift
That point is only valid when there's a draft pick at the end of our position.

Finishing 9th and 18th = No finals
9th = Pick 10, 18th = Pick 1.
Therefore, finising 18th is better than 9th.

However, we don't get any benefit from our lower finishing position so we should push to finish as high as possible to not directly strengthen another club.

We actually want GWS to finish as low as possible, so our first pick comes earlier.

So what you don't barrack for a club if you don't agree with every choice they make ?
There are some people on this board who piss and moan constantly about decisions that have already been made. The reality is a club will get max 80% of decisions right. In a competition where you have a 1 in 18 chance of winning a flag each year along with a million other things that can go wrong, 80% is a blessing. The hawks have beaten the curve for 50 years because they make ballsy decisions. A lot have paid off. Not all of them, but a lot have, and had there been a big footy in the 80s there would still be a #sackjeans thread after 1985. If you want to support a club that plays it safe and doesn't try things outside the norm, go support f***** Melbourne. If the jaegar deal falls in a heap I still wouldn't want them to change it for the world, because it's that same decision making process that has delivered for us time and time again.

Admit it, you've been outed. You've been playing the long con for 10 years, even using a profile name of one of our greatest players to infiltrate our board.

There's 3 groups here. Not just this board or BigFooty, but everywhere.

1. Piss & moan over anything.
Eg. In our premiership years, when we had that offweek in Round 21 or so, some posters were fuming. We were 17-3 or so but people were moaning.

2. Those that have too much faith
Eg. #StandByHird crew. Just blindfaith where you don't question anything and accept that they know what they're doing.

3. Question why things are done.
Eg. The club has taken risks. Some have paid off, some have failed. It's not wrong to question those risks and analyse it.

I don't care where the pick ends up. If we finish 17th and the Saints get pick 2, it will show the Gold Coast Suns and the rest of the league to not be stubborn and just deal with us when we have a reasonable offer on the table.

This place is a discussion forum, so it's fair to question things and break them down. But the constant crying about things and whining by some members makes me wonder why these guys punish themselves at all by being into footy...

Agreed there. Don't confuse discussion of club choices with constant moaning. Atm anyone in group 3 is labelled group 1.

It's been 7 months since the Jaeger trade anyone still moaning about it needs to move on.
Deal is done now it's about how he goes.

Pick watch is a waste of time and we have quite a few on here who want it both ways.

Want to win every trade on paper and on the field

People were asking if Clarko should still be coach after two rounds
