There are some people on this board who piss and moan constantly about decisions that have already been made. The reality is a club will get max 80% of decisions right. In a competition where you have a 1 in 18 chance of winning a flag each year along with a million other things that can go wrong, 80% is a blessing. The hawks have beaten the curve for 50 years because they make ballsy decisions. A lot have paid off. Not all of them, but a lot have, and had there been a big footy in the 80s there would still be a #sackjeans thread after 1985. If you want to support a club that plays it safe and doesn't try things outside the norm, go support f***** Melbourne. If the jaegar deal falls in a heap I still wouldn't want them to change it for the world, because it's that same decision making process that has delivered for us time and time again.
There's 3 groups here. Not just this board or BigFooty, but everywhere.
1. Piss & moan over anything.
Eg. In our premiership years, when we had that offweek in Round 21 or so, some posters were fuming. We were 17-3 or so but people were moaning.
2. Those that have too much faith
Eg. #StandByHird crew. Just blindfaith where you don't question anything and accept that they know what they're doing.
3. Question why things are done.
Eg. The club has taken risks. Some have paid off, some have failed. It's not wrong to question those risks and analyse it.
